    Is she Serious????

Revis and Cro are the best tadem in football and she is saying that Webster and Thomas are right up there with them. Really WTF!

Then she tries to say we are only marginally better against the run than the Giants.

    Our stats:

    Pts/g (4th -17 vs 17th - 21.8)
    Total Points (4th - 187 vs 17th - 240)
    Yards/G (3rd - 296.9 vs 2nd - 286.5)
    yards/P (2nd - 4.7 vs 5th - 4.8)

    Rushing Yds (4th - 3.4 vs 9th - 4) per attempt
    Passing Yds (2nd - 6.4 vs 7th - 6.6)per attempt

Now if you look at the stats the Jets are not really doing all that bad on defense and once the season is over this should look much different. The Jets D has not reached is potential we have not sacked a lot of people or had a lot of turn overs, but we don't allow a ton of yards our points per game. Last time I checked both those stats are important.

She seems to only want to focus on the flashy stats which are important but do not mean your are the best defense.

I like how she says 3.4 ypc is MARGINALLY better than 4.0 ypc. Extrapolated over a season that .6 turns into about 250 extra yards. Don't analyze football you stupid whore, stick to lipstick and teddy bears. Don't even get me started on the comparison of corners. She's a giant homer.

    Edit, this is Johnette Howard

    I rest my case.

The giants have given up 29 + points 4 times this season.

And have given up over 30 points 3 times this season.

How many times have the Jets done that ? Oh thats right 0.

But I guess when you have an elite defense like the Giants that can beat up on some rookie QB in carolinas first nfl game ever that he wasnt even supposed to start, blowing out Seattle, and (with some credit) destroying the Bears whose QB got knocked out of the game with a concussion after barely attempting 10 passes to boost your stats that says alot.

Then again I guess it also says a lot when a Romoless 1-7 Dallas cowboys team can score a massive 68 points on you with their backup QB over 2 games. Guess thats just an elite defense.

Its the same story for the Giants this year as last they can beat the living shit out of absolutely TERRIBLE teams, but when they have a half mediocre opponent they collapse. Anyone who wants to praise the Giants as a team (or their defense) knows nothing about football. They have awesome WRs and one of the best defensive lines in football. Everyone else on that team fucking blows.

The advantage at corner couldn't be any bigger. The Giants have better DL and better pass rushers, everywhere else we get the edge.

    sad.

points per game is a much bigger guide than anything.

the corner comment removes credibility for all of eternity.

So b/c she's not the greatest looking woman in the world that invalidates her opinion? You can attack her arguments w/o attacking her. I love that when anyone disagrees w/ a writer/commentator they make fun of their appearance. Mike Francessan/Peter King don't know what they are talking about b/c they are fat, ... Who cares what they look like?

Junc, the appearance arguments are mearly in added fun. Plenty of people attacked her stats arguments (as well as those of Francessca and King) and frankly they all suck. Particularly when talking PPG and the YPC. those two points, completely invalidate her arguments from a stats standpoint.

The Giants have rarely faced a legit QB for 4 quarters. When they did, they usually lost

ppg is misleading though unless it's only defensive ppg.

If you are able to neutralize the front 4 the defense's weakness is exposed. (everything but the front 4)

Do they not get any credit for hitting QBs and knocking them out of the game?

Defensive PPG is something I use more than offensive PPG, but offensive PPG can still be used just as well.

The Cowboys were a great example this year. Top 5 in yards on both sides of the ball pre-Garrett, but they were 16/21 in PPG

The Giants D is good, but they were blown out a few times. That's not a sign of a great defense.

And Revis/Cromartie "not that much better" than the Giants corners? Rrrright.

They have a great front 4, but is that really a legit strategy? To knock the opposing QB out of the game? Good luck with that.
