I will repeat never drop a game on purpose! I get the strategy of the move but it is a moral buster in the locker room and not worth it.

I'm more a fan of kicking the shit out of that same Bears team the Giants beat 17-3.

It's really hard to understand the Giants' thought process on this. I would normally say that the "jealousy" angle is ridiculous, but what other reason would the Giants do this? What if the Jets offered the same to Dallas or Tampa Bay before a Giants' game? It's baffling why they would agree to this.

    Because we're just better.

And Chicago will beat NE. And we'll all be back to square one.

    Yes.

You need to go out there and put the beatdown on every week.

Which brings me to my point.

I think part of what Rex (or maybe Pettine) is missing is that bad ass 'tude.

Baltimore, Detroit, Tenn, Pitt (and Even NE) all play right on the edge (sometimes over) of Dirty.

    That makes them mean.

We don't....That's what's missing from this defense.

Man I hope you are right.

I just have zero confidence in this team right now, not just based on Monday night, but really based on their play since the Bills game.

If you can't beat a team because they are "used to the cold" then you don't belong in the playoffs anyway.

Who is to say that this is not standard practice anyway?

I agree. I don't like the idea of shutting it down late in the season; you've got to keep the momentum going if your team is hot.

Isn't this something that's done more frequently than you might think? I could swear I've heard of teams using another team's practice facility while on the road.

Still a douche move. Gives them an extra day of rest and practice as opposed to traveling up here last minute.

No this never happens because there aren't any other teams as close as us.

This is a douche move, proof the Giants want to see us fail. I'm sure Woody will open up our facility free of charge.

I hope Woody is calling the Eagles soon.

Tell me where we practiced this weekend before Monday??

We didn't travel until Sunday, the reason why this Miami thing is a story is because they are taking a 3 hour flight on FRIDAY to practice and obviously get acclimated to the conditions.

THIS! I think it's getting lost on a lot of people, and between getting acclimated to the cold AND getting basically an extra day in to practice in these conditions is some bullshit!

The Eagles drive up the day of the game, but I see the point you're trying to make. I still think it isn't that big of a deal.

A lot of teams do travel a few days prior and use any field/practice facility available to them. Would it be that hard to find a practice area in NJ for a professional team that knew back in August they would be coming to NJ for this game?

The Eagles are a cold weather team, it would be like us offering Dallas our facility to practice in and come over early.

Yes and no, I believe that teams will borrow college facilities from time to time. the difference is were talking about two teams that share a stadium helping out a team in the same league.

The only other place that it would really matter is San Fran where Oakland or the niners could do it to each other. and that is a time change issue from east to west thing more than a weather thing.

Same question as with the Dolphins: do you really think a professional football team with months of advance notice can't procure a practice facility anywhere in the entire state of New Jersey that they might use for a few days prior to a game? I think you're missing the forest for the trees in the point I'm trying to make.

I get that you don't like what's happening, but do you really think the Giants telling the Dolphins "go away!" would keep them from practicing in the cold for a few days if Sporano felt they should?

I can definitely see how Jets' fans can get riled up over this, but I really doubt that Tom Coughlin, Jerry Reese, the Mara & Tisch families, & remainder of the FO all sat around and deliberated over this request from Miami before agreeing to it for the purpose of sticking it to the Jets.
