Playing the way they did the past two weeks is just part of the game. It happens. Unfortunately.
But having this asshole associated with the team past today is embarrassing. And showing him the door is the only right thing to do for the organization to begin the preparations for next week on a positive note.

I actually agree as well. I hate to terminate a guy right before Christmas, but what he did certainly violates any code of conduct for coaches. At the least, I'd probably suspend him from the organization until January.

Who cares what alosi did, our team is in collapse, not going to make a difference firing a conditioning coach, it was lack of judgment and a stupid decision but we have bigger problems then this.

By firing him, the whole issue becomes a non-issue. Get rid of him.

The guy made an incredibly foolish decision. If the Jets terminate him, it will be the right move.

I agree he should be fired. Coaches must set a proper example. However, there also should have been a penalty called on the play - and it should have been against the Dolphin player for running up the field out of bounds. If the ref saw it, he also could have called unsportsmanlike conduct against the Jets' coach.

Disagree - a lot of people care what Alosi did! Where's the integrity? (I wonder that after the Heisman vote too!)

Agree - Firing a conditioning coach will not make a difference.

I would really hate to see the guy lose his job over one bone-headed mistake. Football is an emotional game but he crossed the line. I would not sign any fire this guy petition.

I think it's safe to say if he isn't fired he will be severely disciplined by the team and league. That was fucked up.

If we won the game this wouldn't be a discussion. Suspend him from the sidelines for the rest of the season, that's enough.

Since this team is looking absolutely gassed lately, perhaps we could use a new strength coach or younger players. Either way, what he did, even if out of frustration, was pretty classless and he should pay a price for it.
