has allowed 3 times more passing TD's than last season's unit. To think how dominant we thought they would be after drafting Kyle Wilson.
Didn't think the pass rush would be this non-existent this year. We haven't gotten fucking close to Cutler
I'd like to think Rex is saving his bag of goodies for the playoffs this year. Ugh, isn't that wishful thinking?
Excellent point. Shows how one unit can impact another. We need to address the pass rush and Safety position in the offseason.
Coverage can't make up for a lack of pass rush If you give an NFL WR 5 seconds to get open, they will.
If he's got a time machine to turn JT back into the JT of a few years ago (minus the faggotry) then we're in business
A pass defense is only as good as the pass rush that the opposing Qb has to face. In todays game with all these Nancy rules for the WR's its impossible to expect cbs and s to hold up with no pass rush. With that being said I certainly would match the Jets top 2cbs up against anyone's in the league. Jets seem to really miss leonhard too.
Or giving Revis $15 million and watching his play (and how the Jets use him) get affected by bad hammies all year.
There's no pass rush. At all. The QB is getting seven seconds every time he drops back. To blame this on the secondary is fucking asinine, sorry.
I don't think that was his point, although I'm not sure what his point was. This secondary isn't going to be able to do anything without a pass rush. My biggest problem is that we didn't bring in any young talent on the DLine or the LB corps outside of the practice squad and UDFAs. We need to get younger in the front seven and we can't keep acting like one offseason of acquisitions is going to put us over the edge when we need to bring in 4-5 players.
RIP Jets. Season is over. Now they have to watch other teams help them into the playoffs. Why do they want to even bother continuing this aweful season?
