The fact that I just had to listen to Adam Schein and agree with something he said(need more Shonn Greene).
Ignoring the fact that if Smith caught it, it would have worked....what makes you assume that was all Schotty?
I don't mind fakes and that fake woulda worked. I have an issue w/ when & where we called it....that was the wrong time for that exact reason. It gives them a short field and put them right back in it. It was a bad time for it.
Cutler had all fucking day...he could've taken a dump after the snap and still made his throws...I'm nauseated.
Because it was an offensive play....... but you're right, Rex and probably Westhoff are also guilty. Whether it might have worked or not is irrelevant, it was a high risk / low reward play in a situation that didn't warrant one. It's just rank bad playcalling, and for the record I'm not a Schotty-basher, I think he calls many good plays for every bad one. This one stunk though.
Over-valuing Bryan Thomas and not bringing in a better backup for Jenkins' inevitable injury was a bigger mistake than bringing in Taylor ever could have been. Even if we drafted a pass rushing OLB, signing Taylor would still have been a smart move. He was supposed to be a supplement to the defense in the pass rush. Now he's putting in the effort as if he was a starter.
