Michael Smith..ESPN analyst, and guy who appears on 'around the horn' on ESPN.
I follow this dude on twitter, and starting noticing the nonsense he was writing.
    http://twitter.com/MrMichael_Smith
Apparently he wants to be the 49ers GM?

This is the odd shit he starting writing late last night. (maybe he was drunk)

Then some asshole asks him this " @ljeffwilliams: Has that ever happened before? A media guy going into the front office?"

His response, and the rant continues

He then answers another question (which is amazing)

@SeanBoog: im a fan man around the horn all that... But are you drunk?

    His response
He was writing this shit around 12am eastern to around 2am est. 99% chance he was wasted, or smoking some outstanding weed.

He's not the only one. Michael Lombardi has Bill Simmons actively campaigning on his behalf for the job.

I actually hope Lombardi gets it so we're all spared from his mindless drivel and ridiculous comparisons on the NFL Network. The man is a fat joke.

Who knew that Elvin from the Cosby show would one day run a franchise. I hope he got Sondra's permission or she is going to be very angry.

That may be, but it always rubs me the wrong way when a former exec who's now in the media uses that as a tool to get back into a position of prominence with a team.

Steve Phillips used to try to do that at espn before he got caught having sex with Jabba the Hut.

I imagine this would be hilarious if they looked alike.

It's a bad pic, they look a like, you just have to imagine it.

Besides, have you ever seen a black person in person up in Canada?

    Photos don't do them justice.

I'm from California, so yes, I have seen black people. I've also lived in Toronto, which is full of Jamaicans for some reason.

I'm goign to nominate you for Racist of the year. Good luck beating Mike!

Not just Jamaicans. Actually, there is a fairly substantial Trinidadian population up there too. I love the "for some reason" because I've often wondered the attraction to such a freezing cold place to people of caribbean upbringing.

Hmmm, never been called a racist before.

Don't see how saying there are no black people in Canada is racist. I've only been to Montreal and don't remember seeing too many.

If not seeing any black people is racist then I guess I am guilty.

I was joking about that part. Someone needs to invent a sarcasm detector for the intertoobs.

Everytime I goto Toronto Airport, there's always flights full of them coming here, with all sorts of rediculous trinkets and shit. On the plus, security always waves me by very quickly and makes them get the gamut of testing.

    That's because French-Canadians are racist.

Obviously he's joking but I think Michael Smith is one of the best writers/reporters around.

My guess is he wouldn't be doing it on the air or on the website if he was serious.

I have never met him so I cannot comment on him outside of espn but on espn I think he is great.
