Rex made Gholston inactive for the Colts game.

I think that was the first time Gholston's been inactive for a game since he was drafted. wow.

I don't know why people on this forum try so hard to let everyone else know how bad Gholston is. We get it. He sucks. We've moved on I don't know why half the people here can't. I'm not calling out the OP here, I'm just saying in general. I've never seen a fanbase get so hung up on something so irrelevant. Would it have been nice to have someone else? Yes. But do we have that option? No. So enjoy the team we have that's won 12 games so far and just sent Peyton Manning packing.

My post was not so much ghost bashing as it was thumbs up to Rex.

Like rex said in his presser "I'm stuborn but not stupid". I think he showed that in the Gholston benching on the biggest game of the year.

The good news is that he got as many sacks while inactive as he does when active!

His name is Reggie Wayne, not Vernon Gholston.

According to Cimini he was only inactive once before this game. I thought Mangini had him inactive a couple times during the 08 season.

And is hopefully a sign that we've finally admitted we fucked up on this pick, and we're ready to cut him and move the fuck on.

Sorry for the bump on this thread since I'm sick of talking about him...

But ZERO sacks in his career...

Amazing that so many could be so wrong on a guy....nobody had him outside of the Top 10, yet we missed hugely on him.

Anybody remember what some of the on-line scouting reports said on him, maybe Kiper too ?

When I start to get upset over the drafting, or should I say production of Vernon Gholston, I start to think about players such as...

    Mark Sanchez
    Shonn Greene
    Dustin Keller
    D'Brickishaw Ferguson
    Nick Mangold
    Darrelle Revis
    David Harris

    Thank you Tanny.

As for Vernon Gholston? I loved the pick at the time, really thought he was the Darren McFadden type of playmaker on the defensive side of the ball; but I was wrong. Its clear to see that he struggles putting pressure on the QB, he plays soft and slow, and isn't made for the NFL.

It's time to move on as a team. As a fan, this may be my last time ever talking about the Gholston.

If we can sign Harris, Holmes and Edwards long term, I'd love to see the Jets go OLB during the 1st round of next years draft.

He was only inactive because Rex wanted to dress 10 DBs. He'll be active again this week.

That bitch has been inactive since he got here. Whether or not he dresses is irrelevant.
