Both sides squandered opportunities and had times when they just plain failed to execute. The difference wasn't poor play on the Pats' part. No one plays a perfect game. You don't have to remind us of that fact. You're just whining and making excuses. Here's the thing, though. The Pats had been playing near perfect football most of the season. You don't have the best turnover ratio in the last decade without playing damn near perfect football. You don't average 9, 9, 9, and 7 points by quarter in a system designed for consistency without playing damn near perfect football. And you don't fuck up in the playoffs, at home, and suddenly shit the bed unless the motherfucking Jets have you figured out at last. I don't want to hear shit about the Pats failing to execute unless it's followed directly by "because the Jets wouldn't allow them to." Both teams made mistakes. Looked to me like, if anything, the Pats covered theirs up better. After that first quarter, the Jets were a hell of a lot more than 7 points better than the Pats.
