Sucks for Trufant to be cut before the AFCCG, but good of the team and all. If the Jets win it all, he'll at least get the consolation of a ring regardless (I believe all people who played for a team in a championship year get a ring (so long as they didn't finish with somebody else), regardless of whether or not they were on the roster at the end of the season; only caveat is they only rate zirconium, not real diamonds).

dont worry about a fkng ring. This about loading up the DL to beat up the pitt OL, smother the run and lay the wood on be. Chances are this was a planned move but that they waited until the last minute in order to make it official. This game is going to be a war in the trenches and we are adjusting our D for that very purpose.

from the vid he looks to have good lateral movement along the line against the run, not so much bull rushing to get to the qb.

I don't think he is an Ellis replacement. I read somewhere, that distinctly said, he is not an Ellis replacement. I think this has more to do to spell Sione or go to a bigger front, maybe some more classical 4 man fronts. I also think this sends a message that Gholston is finished, as if being inactive the last 2 weeks hasn't already.

Edit: I will try and find the blurb about not insuring Ellis.

Yeah I agree I think it's in everyone's best interest if Gholston moves on. He's obviously not going to succeed here and honestly I don't think he will do well any where if Rex can't get anything out of him.

He definitely isn't a Rex type player. I have to believe this guy doesn't have the passion for the game, that Rex requires.

The only other guy I thought that about was Cro because of his hatred of tackling, but he is so athletic and he really has vaulted his status with begging to be the return guy in B. Smith's absence. At least in my eyes.....
