Bengals twittah Mike Brown: "We are not trading Carson." Says Palmer requested trade last week and Brown said 'No.' Also, Childress not coming to #Bengals.
Cincinnati is a horrible franchise that was approaching respectability and has since gone back to their old, frugal ways. They start Dhani Jones at middle linebacker. They have no play makers on defense. Marvin Lewis is clearly tuned out there, but they probably brought him back because they assumed it would be cheaper than getting a suitable replacement. I don't blame Palmer for wanting it out. He's still a very capable player, and there is a real shortage of quarterback talent in the league. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in Tennessee. -X-
I support Carson. Vikes, Cardinals, and the Bears sound good right about now. The bears would be getting an upgrade by getting rid of Cutler.
I told the hubs about this and he was very excited about the possibility of him going to the Vikings and hadn't heard anything about it on his Vikes MB. ...though looks like I got him excited for nothing.
Hahahaha. I hope he retires now. Mike Brown is a cheap asshole who dosen't build franchises, he hopes 1 player can change them.
To play Devil's Advocate, the Bengals had a very good draft last year(Shipley, Gresham, Dunlap). They need a running back, and they are probably a lock to snag Mark Ingram, in which case they'd probably be much better. But how much better? -X-
Here's a thought - if Carson Palmer doesn't want to be a Bengal anymore, the time to consider that was back when he we signing his last contract extension.
I honestly don't see the Bengals as a running back away from the playoffs at this point. They'll need a new QB, too. Not even sure there are any decent FAs available.
