I was arguing with my dad on how many passed Edwards dropped this year. I cold have sworn I read he only dropped 1. My dad thought it was way more. Does anyone know how many he dropped this year? If it was one I think it's a big mistake letting him go and keeping Cromartie.

I think it was two but a trip to NFL.com will probably answer your question quicker.

It was 1 or 2, the only one I can remember right now is in the 1st quarter of the 45-3 game where everything was going wrong.

Either way, if your dad thinks it was "way more" he is wrong.

How would a Dolphan know how many catches Braylon dropped?

Still a great # for a man tagged (somewhat unfairly) as an unreliable rec'vr.

Prior to becoming a Jet he had really big problems with drops. He's been fine here and still carries the reputation he built in CLE.

This pisses me off everyone still labels him "that he drops the ball too much." People are truely ignorant and dont know what they are talking about. Im not saying thats your dad is btw.

It was a contract year for him, of course he wanted to drop as least passes as possible. Not sure if he'll play at the same level next year. Once he gets his money, who knows..

During non-contract years he wants to drop more passes.

Right, the rest of his career he was thinking "fuck this pass I'm not catching that shit."

It was always a mental issue with him, maybe being in a contract year made him focus more, or maybe it was the environment the Jets create as a team. Could be a bit of both but he didn't just decide one day that he was gonna drop less passes to get his contract.

I'd keep Edwards over Cro in a heartbeat. It's a no brainer to me. Both had dumb penalties, but Braylon made bigger plays when it mattered more.

    Good point.

IMO, my free-agt signing priorities w/b:
    1)-Bray
    2)-San
    3)-Brad
    4)-Cro

    Again, just M.O. !

Braylon was the fucking man last year. He took huge hits over the middle and held onto the ball. In particular I'm thinking of the first Pitts. game.

Pay this man. He's a physical freak.

I'm sure ProFootballFocus has it listed at probably 7 or 8 drops, and when you ask them how they came up with that number they will tell you that the NFL's criteria for drops is too narrow, so they defined their own criteria.
