I see what you mean but that is pure speculation there. Do you think that if Wilson makes that catch we drop Cro and give Kyle a chance?

Revis is a very talented CB with the mind of a Dan Snyder. I don't think he understands the salary cap too well.

I look at it this way: Revis is the best player on the team (I think we can all agree on that). Usually, what the best player on a sports team wants, he gets - simply because nobody wants to piss of their super-star. Will his opinion on the matter directly affect the contract situation with Cro? You would have to think it would.

If it does, then you can most certainly kiss either Braylon and Santonio goodbye.

Signing Cromartie isn't going to prevent the Jets from signing one WR. There's a good possibility they can sign all three depending on how some details work out.

.......well at least the NFL & the Players Union agreed to extend the CBA for another week. Still hope to avoid a lock-out.

What's wrong is that half the reason we'll have trouble bringing Cro back is because of Revis and his huge contract.

I have no idea about that, i'm just saying thats a pick 6 and im confident we would have kept on scoring and won. And if we DID win the Super Bowl then I doubt Cro's back, i'm sure the Jets would take a step back and enjoy the Super Bowl victory and not trade picks for one year deals.

On the bright side tho, Wilson didn't get burnt in the playoffs altho he was only in for maybe 10 plays?

Too bad they didn't make Revis the new jets capologist when they re-did his contract.

I definitely agree that Revis should put up (some cash) or shut up, but it will never happen. If I was Tanny, I'd ask Revis if he'd be willing to give up 1/3 to 1/2 of his salary in order to sign Asomugha. If so, fine, I'd try to get it done. If not, I'd tell him to shut up.

What irony? What we say has zero effect on the Jets as a team. What players say, can have a big impact in the lockerroom. It can cause divisiveness or disunity. One of the things that several players have mentioned is that it's like a family on the team and all are close. That shouldn't be mucked with.

For many of us, it's as WhiteShoeWillis said, it's about Revis trying to play GM and tell the Jets who to sign when it's because of his huge contract that the Jets are unable to sign some players they' perhaps like to. Revis has held out on both of his contract deals with the club. He needs to keep his effing yap shut about money issues concerning the club.

I really don't care what players say because I think it gets made into a bigger deal than it really is all of the time.

With that said your point is garbage. Next time something someone on this site says gets articles written and talked about on NFL Network or ESPN you let me know and I'll take it back.

    :lol::lol::up::up:

....sorry, that really struck me funny. I can't even count the times I have re-read a post a few times in utter confusion and then looked at who the poster was and said..."Ahhhh.... ok."

Oh yeah, and on the topic of the thread. I don't get what the big deal is either. He didn't call anyone out in a bad way, said that a fellow player is an asset to the team that would be missed. Oh the horror.

    Agree. 100%

We all agree Revis is amazing on the field. If only he wasn't so greedy off it, maybe we wouldn't be hurting as bad with signing our own guys. Guys that he is trying to push of on this organization, it seems to me that he is only trying to make the Jets look bad if they don't sign Cro. Taking any heat off him because of his greed.

Like so many have already said...

He needs to shut his mouth with anything that revolves around signing, retaining, releasing players. Not his place.
