Wasn't me, wasn't him, wasn't us....he'll be around a bit longer in the NFL.

    Yeah right.

I am curious to see where he ends up.

There is a extremely tiny part of me that wishes him some success. Failing in the limelight of NY is a tough thing to get over.

He doesn't seem like a bad person, and even works hard. I don't know why he has failed so badly, but do sincerely wish him the best of luck, and please don't go to NE and be a beast.

Yeah that would suck, if he goes to the NFC I'd hope he does great.

Depending on where in the AFC he ends up if I would wish him well or not.

I wonder if Mangini will end up anywhere and if he'll try and sign Vern to the minimum.

    Miami.

He'll be the next Jason Taylor for them.

He'll be talked about in NY Sports circles, like Nolan Ryan.

    +1

I wouldn't be shocked if he got quite a bit of interest later on either...

Honestly, VG having success would mean that our coaching staff failed big time. Both under Mangini and Ryan. I would highly doubt that he succeeds elsewhere, but a team may pick him up for depth.

Not at all, just like Rex said sometimes it takes some players longer.

Was Kurt Warner an instant success? Also that's why I said "extremely tiny"

Do I think it'll happen? No
If he can find a role somewhere that doesn't effect the Jets that'd be just fine.

Vernon Gholston is not a football player.

The only thing I find surprising about this is that Ryan actually feels defensive about this. Is there anyone in the world who thinks that it's Ryan's fault that Gholston has been horrible? And of all the overblown things Ryan has said since he's gotten here, he thinks talking up Gholston is the one that requires defending?

    What Rex really means is:

"Gholston is a gigantic pussy and has less heart than a cadaver. His career in football is far from over...as long he is scrubbing toilets in the locker room."

I don't know, it wouldn't completely surprise me to see him get some regular playing time somewhere and grind out a Bryan Thomas-like career. I wouldn't put money on it, but, it could happen.

We drafted Vern #6 because NE was drafting #7 and we feared NE would take him and he'd destroy us for years to come.

Danny Woodhead was an anomaly people. Seriously, after Woodhead name me even 3 players who the Jets cut and then went on to be "beasts" with the Pats.

    I'll wait.
