I don't know if its the lockout or I am still hungover from the Steeler game ( here comes the comments) but I could care less about the draft or the schedule. Its usually a great time of the year, but I am not pumped for the schedule release this week and I have no plans to watch the draft. If they want to strike this season, go ahead, I can find other things to do. Thankfully, I am a Yankee fan, not a fan of the SchMets. Bring it on haters!!!!!!!!!
Drink some coffee, get over the hangover. Its a new season. 16 more games of the most exciting team in the league. Half the excitement is not knowing what new pieces will be a part of the puzzle. Who would have thought we'd have Santonio Holmes last year? Who knows who we pick up, draft, etc. Its fun being a fan of a team that can win now. Last year is over.
Last year has zero to do with this year, we probably won't have Santonio anymore. And what season are you talking about, there won't be one? Wake up people, the NFL is bye bye until 2012. This is the big one, owners are not going to give in and the NEW NFLPA President has to make a statement. Enjoy apple picking!!!
espn has a schedule release special scheduled for tomorrow night so I guess it is being released tomorrow?
That will be the first thing football related since the Steeler game that I give two shits about. I used to watch NFL live religiously every day in the offseason, but now its all about legal BS and I tuned out of that and the whole thing altogether. So they already killed my enthusiasm. Assholes, both sides.
I haven't listened to NFL radio at all on sirius but I am excited about the sched release. I expect there will be a season and it's always fun to get the sched.
The draft I don't rarely care about, its not as big of an event as the NFL makes it out to be. I'm a lot more interested in the schedule release.
I guess I do care about the schedule as a season ticket holder. Like you guys, no Sirius NFL and no NFL network, I just don't wanna here about the damm strike. THis is the least interest in the NFL I've had since KOTITE!!!!
I think it's the lockout. We've lost in the playoffs a bunch of times in my life and I'm usually lookng forward to things like the schedule and the draft a lot more than I am right now. The idea that there might not be a season kind of waters down any excitement you might feel for gettng a player or knowing when the games are supposed to be played.
The Lockout has drained alot from the enjoyment of the offseason thats for sure.I am usually so pumped for schedule release and draft but this year they just seam to have crept up without any anticipation cause the lockout has me so bummed.Ya gotta stay positive best ya can i guess as hard as it may be.
You're more interested in finding out in what order the Jets are going to play the thirteen other teams we already know they're going to play on the weekends we already know they're going to be playing, than you are in seeing which young players are going to be joining the Jets? Seriously?
Absolutely 100%. Finding the order we play could be more important than the guys we select. We didn't have any impact rookies last year, we may not this year. The draft is like a lottery, it's a crapshoot and most of the draft coverage is completely boring. I watch as much as I can but I am always more excited to see the sched than I am to see the draft.
314, You've done a lot to restore your rep after some darksider days. Stop this absurd recent backslide, please.
