Absolutely great news to hear. If there was any corner in the league any young corner should be working with, it's Revis. Way to go K-Dub. Good decision, now start working your ass off so you can become the best you can be!

Good. This was one of my hopes I expressed heading into the offseason. We need Revis involved with K-Dub as much as possible right now.

I remember people getting pissed that Revis was not mentoring Wilson. Now they can be happy

Teach Wilson how to catch a ball, that image of the potential pick 6 in the game vs the Steelers is still replaying in my head.

At least now you can stop telling us all about how you can't shake the image of your last recital.

I feel like Wilson usually has solid coverage on receivers, but he never turns his head around to locate the football. When I watch Revis, he has perfect coverage and always finds where the ball is going. Hopefully Wilson really takes advantage of working with Revis and becomes a great corner.

Trust me when I say, Wilson is already 10,000 times the football player Vernon Gholston is. Because he is a corner, all anybody remembers is the mistakes early on. Nobody remembers how well he played down the stretch and into the playoffs.

People even "remember" not seeing him on the field because his name wasn't mentioned for the last month of the season. Trust me, it's not because he wasn't on it. It's because he was on it, and didn't have the ball thrown his way.

K-Dub was not very good early on, he certainly had issues getting his head around, but later in the year, he definately improved. Is he ready to be a starter? I'm not sure, but he certainly has improved since draft day. All you need to do is rewatch week 17, Wilson vs. Stevie Johnson. Wilson blanketed him all day long. People will argue that Brian Brohm was his QB that day, and I would say just watch how tight Wilson is to Johnson. Would Peyton Manning have been able to hit Johnson, probably, but 85-90% of the QB's in the NFL wouldnt have been able to beat Wilson very often, if at all that day.

Wilson took an up and coming receiver out of the game that day, is stevie johnson one of the games best? No, but he certainly was the best player on buffalo's offense that sunday, and Wilson took him right out of the game.

Is Wilson ready to be a starter opposite Revis? I don't know, but if he is able to build on his improvement over last year, he is going to be a damn good player for us in the not so distant future.

    One in 5 years.

That's pretty amazing by not only Jet history standards, but NFL standards, period.

And that comes with game experience.

    Patience.

We've been spoiled with most of our 1st round picks contributing right away, but they've been high picks.

When you let the draft board come to you, these late picks usually take a while to develop.

Kyle will do fine next year. CB is a skill position, and its a craft that takes a long time to master.

Revis had some difficulty locating the ball his rookie year too.

Teach yourself how to diagnose a play.

Revis and Cro weren't going to catch that either.

definately. Kyle's head snapped around pretty quickly on that play but the ball was in his facemask within maybe a second from it leaving Ben's hand. It would have taken incredible reflexes and a shit ton of luck for that ball to have been caught by any DB on the Jets roster...

He really didn't get much of a chance to develop constantly getting placed in the nickel. He's much better suited to the outside, and skills like that will come with experience. His primary responsibility in man coverage IS to play the receiver. Revis gets his read on the ball through visual clues from his receiver. That's what I hope they're working on. It's a huge step up from WAC receivers to NFL receivers; NFL receivers simply show less, and I'm sure Wilson has had a tough time getting a read. As soon as he does, he'll be just fine.

I mean yeah of course its a good thing learning from the best but didn't he work with him alot last year?

Id like to see a Vet working with him. One that has retired and plays similar to Wilson. Maybe Dre Bly? Or a former great Jets CB like Aaron Glen ( if he remembers he was a Jet) or James Hasty.
