It is hard to believe people get paid to write this stuff: Free agency will bring big risk for teams pursuing these vets http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...k-for-teams-pursuing-these-vets?module=HP_cp2 "Braylon Edwards, WR: He is looking for the kind of big money that goes to top starting receivers. In what could be a very shallow market, chances are he will get it. The Jets won't fight that hard to keep him -- that tells you more than enough. New York is in the middle of a huge effort to re-sign and retain its core youngsters. Edwards can be petulant, is inconsistent and has made poor decisions off the field. He will wow you with one moment of splendor then fall back into a bone-headed funk. I'd expect his worst traits to be exacerbated once he has that big contract. I wouldn't go there."
I'm pretty sure some of these journalists just make these things up. He's basing his potential on a DWI, a contract year, and drops. Douggie already scored that big contract and is willing to discount the Jets so that's wrong already. Edwards only had 2? drops last year. It's also good to know the jets won't fight hard to keep him. I wish I got paid for opinions.
Yet another piece written on a player in which the author took the lazy approach rather than doing his research. Fawking cawkgabbling piece o shit.
really good connections and loaded resumes. these people are just as clueless about their own game as the so called "players" that voted for the top 100 on nfl network.
I pulled up BE's game logs just to see how much of a "funk" he gets into. Interestingly enough he had 6 games last season (not counting the bills where starters didnt play) with 2 catches or less. Holmes on the other hand only had 1, and he still managed 57 yards that game. While this has nothing to do with the article, it really makes you understand why this team is making Holmes its #1 priority, and hopefully why BE ends up coming back at a very reasonable salary (and also why BE could be considered somewhat of a risk). Dont get me wrong BE is easily one of my favorite guys on this team, but its just shocking at how often he really doesnt get the ball. And I know the stats dont show how often he bust his ass blocking downfield, but i just was pretty shocked when I read that
Edwards was a pimp in a contract year. I'm sure he will play just as hard this season too. He will be a Jet, mark it down.
Ight look.. 3000 niggas prayin - they all facin a lockout Clown braylon Edwards hatin - douggie after da knockout Nfl articles no sense in they sayings Lombardi trophy on ice Broadway Joe still waiting For the title. He's also very important to the running game with his great blocking, but expecting the tool that wrote the article know this is asking a lot.
It's hard talking sports with people that already made up their mind. If you watched Jets games almost every game you see a running play where Edwards makes the seal block at the end of the line. They reshow it. Simms raves about the block and also states that Edwards is one of the best blocking WR's in the game. A guy like the one that wrote the article..doesn't matter. He doesn't hear it. All he knows is that two years before he was watching a game and Edwards dropped an easy pass. Forget that the year before he had 16 TDs, most in spectacular fashion. Yeah, he had the drops for a year. So what?....He probably banged his hand or a finger into something and it was hurt for awhile. Happens in football.
