OMFG oh yes im a clueless newb because i just signed up to this forum. OMG you have found out my secrete ive never watched footboall befor i signed up here. Your a douchbag dude. Seriously I love how you turned me saying Santonio demands #1 CB coverage into he gets double coverage all game every play every second he breaths. Braylon carried a fair amount of the recieving load durring Holmes suspension. YaaaaY You get to be right on this one. When Holmes was suspended Braylon was the better reciever. Yes we allllllllll know braylon is the BIG GO GET IT reciever as ive stated 100 times already. Also how can you say Santonio dropped a ton andbraylon almost none? Didholmes have like 5 more drops then Braylon last year? AkA his first year playing with sanchez? In my reviewing games last night i saw 4 drops in two games from holmes and three of them were horrid throws by sanchez that some how he still managed to almost catch. I also so two completely open drops by braylon in the beating we took in New England. Yes braylon dragging mccourtny into the end zone had me screaming in joy but so do the 4 games in a row that santonio made amazing endzone plays for us to keep us in the game. Dont call me a fucking newb because i disagree with you. Go back watch some games and see what DB is covering holmes and who is covering braylon and the bottom line is santonio demand #1 DB coverage 90% of the time. Oh and just for the sake of keeping it on your level. YO MAMMA A NEWB FOO. Thank You have a nice day. EDIT:: Just wanted to point out that i wasnt saying i watched every game last night just started randomly watching games. Week 13 and week 6 were watched last night.
Agree 100%, he should be signed before any other WRs are. He's tall, tough, has shed his butterfingers rep, blocks downfield, can make amazing catches/plays, is hard to cover, and it may not translate to the field but his attitude is good and I respect that Braylon was working on his game at Jets West camp while Santonio was working on his casino investments. Santonio maybe is more talented, but I don't think he is that much more so than Braylon. When you factor in all the above, I think the choice is an easy one.
Oh come on that's bullshit! Rex said many many times that both are good team-mates. I remember last off-season Holmes was a leader and a mentor to other young players on O, much more than Braylon. If you are such a victim of PR here let me turn it around: Holmes was home sleeping while Edwards was driving drunk mid-way through the season. Edwards just wants to be here more because he knows what it's like to play in a shitty town on a shitty team and he has more money in the bank than Holmes.
What PR? Edwards worked with his teammates during the lockout. Santonio didn't, the Jets might be forced to choose either of them. Pretty cut and dry. You said it yourself, "Edwards just wants to be here more" ... why doesn't really matter.
Holmes was there for a half day too. I don't care about any of that though. As long as they're in shape come game time, I'm good.
Yea, assuming that showing up far 1 day and not working out at all ties you with showing up and participating. Then yea, they tied......
Where did you get this information? I was under the impression he actualy showed up 100% for Jets east.
Actually, I don't remember exactly where I read it JdotGriff. Might have been here somewhere, or might have been Green & White Report.com. These threads all start to meld together after a while. I do recall reading a report from Jets East that mentioned it somewhere though.
Well acording to a local artical Santonio was there all three days and participated fully. But did mention on the first day Santonio shoed up a "few hours" late
They should incorporate a similar icon, just one smiley passing a doobie to the other. For just these occasions.
Manish and the players on Twitter including Holmes. We got just as far in 09 without Holmes, just saying. I'll be happy as long as we keep one. Sanchez will make a big jump this year and both are number one caliber receivers.
So its true he wasnt there? But wasnt he in the life of a lockout pt3 at the camp A majority of that was on the back of Thomas Jones and our Defense. I wont be happy unless we keep both. Im planning for the worst. I have dl'ed the intire 2010 season bought two boxes of klienex and a bottle of Jack for when the lockout ends.
You could argue that that has more to do with Sanchez not getting the ball to his receivers consistently enough. Holmes had, what, 2 catches in the AFC championship game? One of which was a 45 yard score when nothing else was working for us. On top of that, he practically won 4 games for us last season (Denver, Detroit, Cleveland, Houston). It's hard not to argue that we're a much better team in the final 2 minutes down by a score with Holmes than without him.
You could argue everything. Who knows what happens if Holmes isn't playing, maybe Keller has huge games and we're destroying them. Point is our team got to the same game two years in a row with two different rosters. First year we relied heavily on running, and D. Year two we let Sanchez do more and it paid off in most cases. Year three will be the year of THE SANCHIZE.
