Man, it would be so sick if Cro starts playing as been advertised, and Wilson starts playing in accordance with his draft pedigree.

If Revis and Wilson are going to be "like Siamese Twins", when did Geiger get surgically removed?

Of course not, that's why the Jets hired Sean Gilbert to the coaching staff.

That is a more disturbing visual than Champ in drag blowing a donkey.

I hope Wilson is more up to speed this year. The guy is talented as hell, he just seems lost sometimes though. Seemed like the defense didn't come naturally to him so his brain was working overtime on the field/under pressure.

Mark Sanchez dealt with the same thing. Once the game slows down it gets easier. Hopefully KW soaked a lot of it in and Revis can mentor him to the next level.

I realized that's a great move for when contract time comes up for Revis in a few years.

If you want Revis on this team for the rest of his career, then you want Uncle Sean on your side, loving your franchise.

I don't know what to make of Wilson at this point. We have Revis and Cro locked in long term now, did we really draft wilson to be the nickel corner? I don't know rex loves his corners so maybe he is crazy enough to draft a corner in the first round to be a nicekelback for his first 5 years but I would probably lean more to the side that Rex just doesn't believe in the kid. If he did believe in him why give cromartie 8 mill. I know there are no pass rushers or safeties, our biggest needs, worth big money on the market at this point but thats a lot of money to put into one position when you have a first round talent waiting in the wings. Very interested to see how this plays out.

What's the one thing Rex said he needed when he became the coach of the Jets?

    Corners, Corners, Corners.

Having 3 CBs that can play inside and outside is important in a scheme that puts a lot of pressure on them since they're on an island most of the time. The more CBs that are highly talented, the better the blitz schemes.

Wilson plays a skill position. It going to take him 3 years to get up to speed. That's the traditional time for all draft picks, regardless of draft position. Wilson had a rookie year that wasn't terrible, but wasn't good. He had a tough middle of the season, and finished looking good with flashes of what we are going to see.

Not every pick has an impact right away. The Jets got spoiled from 06-08 with the 1st rounders kicking ass right out of training camp.

And I kind of get the Pavlov's dog mindset of "okay, 1st round pick. So he's gunna be good week 1"

But those who know football know that every year is different, and no matter what every rookie gets 3 years.

That's why the Jets cut Gholston this offseason. They gave him 3 years. This is his 4th, and he's not here because he doesn't get football. Gholston actually said that because of the coaching changes and scheme changes it made things really difficult. He couldn't get comfortable here. Bullshit - he can't play football. He's too nice for football. He doesn't love this game. He has the stiffest hips in the world.

SNY just talked about Wilson for a couple minutes. Alot of praise, they say he is very confident now and is performing better. Keep your fingers crossed.

A 1st rounder in year 1 should dominate. No excuses, no 1st round pick I can remember took time to develop. They either have it or they don't. One word, bust.

So why did they pair Revis with this bust? To see how the other side lives?

""I pushed him as hard as I could and I'm going to continue to push him as much as I can," said Revis, who sees it as a pay-it-forward gesture that began with the veterans that helped him when he broke in. "I'm trying to be a good mentor, get him in the right playing mode. I want to watch him become great."

Sounds good to me. I hated on this kid last year. But im willing to give him another shot. Shit, he deserves it. He plays for my Jets!
