My main reason for posting to make you aware of the rule that covers this situation. I went back and looked at the video. Personally I don't feel comfortable saying it was a blindside hit based on the video and my own lack of precise knowledge as to what the league thinks blindside is. On a kick that can be a very subjective thing and every play is different. Ultimately this is the problem with blindside rules. Most of the time it is not a clear cut thing and the players have no idea if they are going to be fined or not. Also - A penalty or not means nothing. Lots of calls are missed in every game, and the league has no problem issuing fines when no penalty is called, or not issuing fines when a penalty is called. We'll find out in about 6 days what the league thinks.
If the league decides hitting someone between the numbers is a blindside hit, there might be a fine. And all blocks will be illegal. Maybe the league will pass a new Woodhead rule: "If someone is running down the field and not looking where they are going, they can not be blocked."
Bullshit. If you are up by 3 td's plus in the the, run the ball, and end the game. Belichick never does that. He always coaches to run up the score. Always has, always will. Why? The goal is to win, with as few injuries as possible. If a team is down 38-3, you should not be looking for more points. Why? Because you dont want to piss the other team off. Belichick doesn't get that. Even last years playoff game still didn't make him learn that.
Boy Sparano was pumped on scoring on 4th and Goal from an inch away after getting stuffed 3 times previously.
Most disappointing part of this game was they never showed Sparano fist pumping that field goal..................

Even though the team is gonna be bad this year, why show Belicheat any possible play calls that we will use inside the 5? I didn't mind the 4 runs up the middle now...
