Two days ago I posted an article by Glauber that promoted Sanchez, albeit baby steps in his progression, but positive nonetheless. Then I stumbled upon this piece of shit article. I swear Cosell must be a closet Finfan. Either that or Armando Salqueero is tossing his salad at night. Although Cosell brings up some valid points (Jets not letting Mark "do much"; run first team, et al), the whole premise of the article is to claim that Mark "isn't good". Quarterbacks that are "sufficient" don't make a 40 yard pass to set up the kicker for a field goal with 57 seconds left in a playoff game, to win it. And Cosell's other point about Mark and his injuries - Cosell makes him out to be a drama queen. How about someone that feels the sting more than other and recovers quickly from it? I'm not exactly a tough SOB but I've become injured and not even known it until hours after the fact. Then I am nursing my injury like a little girl. Does that make me tough cause I can deal with the initial pain? Now I am angry with this article and Cosell. Read for yourselves.... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/831178-new-york-jets-elaborating-on-greg-cosells-negative-remarks-on-mark-sanchez
i read this article. recently people have been giving me shit for simply saying its time for Sanchez to step up. and even I think this is pretty harsh. specifically the injury thing. hes just now getting used to playing in the cold. hits sting alot more in cold weather and the steelers are no cupcake defense. the guy got rocked, and came back fine. if he didnt hed be Mathew Stafford. I dont think the run first offense is an indictment on Sanchez. i think its just something Rex wants to compliment the defense with clock control. Sanchez just has to do better with the opportunities given to him when passing.
lets say Sanchez throws 20 picks this year.....( i think he throws a good 15)....who cares the D will still allow us to win 11+ games this year
lol i remember that episode. what was the fuckin guys name, his hero? Action Hank? he was basically a Shaft/Schwarzenegger hybrid
When did he do that? Not in Cincy, not in San Diego, not in NE and not in Indy. EDIT: He was a stud in the last drive against Indy but he didn't have a "40 yard" pass, he had a few 10-15 yar passes.

Pretty sure he was talking about this It's not 40 yards, but regardless, it was a clutch throw
Also, he threw solid games in the losses to Indy 2 years ago and the Steelers last year. I fully believe that if the Jets defense held the Steelers on that final drive that Sanchez would have pulled through and sent the Jets to the Superbowl, Of course, we'll never know, but the comeback effort was heroic, despite the loss.
