That's pretty close to the way he is too but the guy threw for 300+ yards and 2 TD's. Yes he made some poor throws but with 3 new WR's and a new RT that's to be expected. My opinion has always been as long as he doesn't lose games ie Buffalo two years ago then he's a good QB. I'm not quite sure how he would be rated as the 4th worst QB yesterday but w/o looking at the list I can name quite a few that sucked worse then him and unlike those guys his team is 1-0.
Seriously. ESPN has to be absolutely retarded. Ryan Fitzpatrick had the highest QBR in a blow out win over an over rated team, in a game that was never competitive? Fuck me in the ass with a double sided dildo.
When guys are "Lucky" for a number of years then it get's to be that there just Good and not Lucky. Haters gonna Hate.
Perfect example of why ESPN sucks 75% of the time... http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/31218/qbr-fitzpatrick-dominates-sanchez
Stupid headline, though headline writers are always looking to get people to get clicks, nothing more, nothing less. For both ESPN That said, Fitzpatrick had a better regular season than Sanchez and Henne last season. I don't really even see how that's an argument. The thing with Sanchez is that he's only 24 and you hope he'll keep getting better. And he does keep showing signs of improvement. Romo was unbelievable for 3 quarters. He played as well as any quarterback in the league, moving in the pocket, making reads, making good throws. He gagged it away in the 4th quarter. I wouldn't call our offense clutch, they did make a few key drives, but the last 3 drives ended the following way. 6 plays, 44 yards, ends in Sanchez fumble 6 plays, 9 yards 4 plays, 2 yards Folk still had to make a 50-yard field goal to win this game for us. If the offense produces on either of those last three drives, we might not have needed that. If Folk misses that field goal, this is a completely different story today. The offense did not play well. The two drives when we seemed to have a sense of urgency, the one before halftime, and the one after the Cowboys scored to take a 14 point lead in the 4th were our two best drives, and those were huge. No doubt about that. Sanchez looked great then. But he needs to be more consistent. That's on him, and it's on our coaching. And it also might be on our GM, as the more I look at our talent offensively, and the more I wonder what exactly we're supposed to be good at and what our identity is. Hopefully that improves as the season goes on, but if almost anyone on the offense gets hurt, I'm not sure how we really replace them. Bottom line: Sanchez was pretty good, but he needs to be a lot better. And if he's not, I worry about our offense.
Should Sanchez have completed more passes against that secondary? Yeah.. Should we of done a better job protecting Sanchez? Uhh.. Yeah. Sanchez was RUNNING for his life that entire game. I'm stunned he threw over 300 yards. Sanchez had yuuuuuge Dlinemen in his face the entire game.
I don't think the struggles on offense should all be placed on Mark either. Other then his rookie year we haven't exactly had this "ground and pound offense" we're supposed to have. If we are serious about winning a SB we're going to need to get serious about Greene starting to get carries. He always starts slow but by midway through the 3rd quarter he starts to get better. Last night was a different set of circumstances as we trailed the entire game but we need to get better production earlier in the game from Greene and LT.
Actually it's Bill Barnwell, you know, of "SANCHEZ=JAMARCUS RUSSELL!" fame. he's a cocksucker. disregard whatever he writes.
Going to post it twice so it gets through. This is the same guy that equates Sanchez's projected career to Jamarcus Russel. He's a cocksucker. Disregard everything he writes.
What an assclown. I remember that bullshit article. While tony romo looked great all game he choked when it mattered. Sanchez made the plays when he need to and even had the stats to go along with it.
The article was kind of stupid, but Sanchez did play pretty poorly late. He had the one good throw to Plax for the TD at the start of the 4th, but after that he was a mess. Held the ball way too long on the sack/fumble, and was dangerously inaccurate on the next two drives. We won because the Special teams came up big and Romo completely imploded. Don't try and make it a "CLUTCH" performance by Sanchez.
He played good enough at the beginning of the game considering the pass rush he faced. He had a couple of great drives and clutch plays in critical moments of the game. He made a couple of big mistakes (I could say 1, is hard to put the fumble all on himself). He couldn't lead the team in other critical moments of the game. Nothing great, nothing to be worried about. Overall, that was a lot better than many other (top) QBs this first week (critics and specialists would be killing him if he would've had the performance Roethlisberger or Matt Ryan or Romo had).
Sanchez did almost throw a pick at the end. I was very surprised that we chose to throw the ball, instead of try to get a couple more yards by running. Especially after a lost fumble and INT, his confidence was very low
The fumble was his fault. He didn't see the defensive back blitzing on the edge and he wasn't holding the ball with both hands while scrambling away from pressure. He didn't take good care of the football on that play - a sack was almost certain because he couldn't find anyone downfield, but the fumble could have easily been prevented with fundamentals.
Romo and Sanchez, in a sense are mirrors of the same quarterback. Both can be brilliant, both make a couple very questionable plays a game that could cost their team some wins. The difference? Romo tends to do well until the pressure is turned up then he folds. Sanchez tends to make almost all his mistakes when the "pressure" of the game is at its lowest and is the reverse of Romo in that Sanchez thrives under pressure situations. This leads me to believe that a large part of Sanchez's problems are that unless the games in a pressure point his concentration isn't really there.
All I can say is that everyone is jealous of the recent success of the NY Jets and they just want to bash on our team. We are not a legacy team like the Steelers, or the Cowboys, or the Packers. Now that the Colts have lost Peyton Manning for the year they are not what they use to be. Of course they will kiss Brady's ass and Belichick's ass because of what they have done in the past. But when Rex Ryan comes in and starts to tell everyone the Jets will be better. So far in his first two seasons as a head coach Rex Ryan has put the Jets into the playoffs and he has led our team to two straight AFC Championship games. The entire NFL is jealous of us and hates us because we are improving. This team has been a doormat to the NFL for far to long. We deserve just as much success as the other teams have. But no matter how much credit our team should get, everyone will try to knock the team down and us down. Like that Cowboys fan that called in Francesa's show and said our fellow Jets fans were obnoxious. HEY STUPID COWBOYS FAN! YOU TALK BIG WHEN YOUR TEAM IS WINNING! IF YOU CAN'T TAKE IT, GO HOME TO YOUR MOTHER AND GET SPOON FED YOUR CROW LIKE THE LITTLE BABY YOU ARE! :jets:
Romo is a second generation Mexican-American. I'm not discounting the fact simmons is a racist I just don't know how much that factored into his idiotic "analysis." Then again his name isn't as Mexican as Sanchez.
