Because other teams, for some reason, are afraid of the Patriots. I know the Jets can beat them....the Jets will probably win both games against them this year but it's very frustrating to see that no other team ever wants to step up and do something vs this overrated team. T I know the Jets can win road playoff games better than any team in the NFL. However, when facing a great team like the colts of two years ago or last years steelers....these teams are GREAT at home and it would be great for us to finally be able to play the AFC Title game at home. I know if we see the Ravens in that game this year, I want to be in the meadowlands. With the half-assed, fearful way that other teams play the patriots, the Jets must treat every game like a playoff game and can not afford to have ANY upsets against them.
Thank you for this awesome thread. The Patriots are overrated and no one beats them because they are scared of them. Therefore we need to win lots of games.
The Chargers had chances to beat the Pasts. Nobody is afraid of them. The Pats offense is insane, but their D isn't special.
Only teams with balls enough to beat the gay led Patriots are Jets & Ravens. Everyone else lacks toughness
It's true though, the Jets and Ravens are the only teams with balls big enough to play them hard. Every other team apparently prefers to bend over and it take it up the hoo-ha.
Chargers had their chances - they got 0 out of their 3 red-zone trips, which hurt their chances big time. You don't beat anyone with that piece of shit.
Once they couldnt score on that 4th and goal I knew that they wouldnt come back. If your D is letting NE rape you like that then you have to convert plays like that on O.
I think this is all because we are the only team in the NFL along with the Ravens who have the cajones to go toe to toe with them even though Baltimore has only beat New England once in the last decade. Pitt loves to think of themselves as tough guys, but they routinely get violated by the patriots in a most humiliating fashion. This is the attitude that only we seem to have when playing new england: deeaaddd meat. the rest of the league needs to grow a pair, seriously.
We will not win one of them if we don't pick our running game out of the gutter and fix this offense. The ONLY way to beat them is to get to Brady all of the time. Forget coverage, you need to knock him around and good.
others might not but so far I like what I see. It would be interesting to see if the Pats can stop Keller, Cumberland, Burress, and Holmes.
Thing with the Pats is that their D looks awful. I've seen every second of both games, and the score doesn't even tell the story. They're average or worse at every position except NT (Wilfork) and Will (Mayo). McCourty looks ordinary this year, and the safeties are just putrid. That offense has been on full throttle for sure, though. We've seen this before. I'm confident in the coaching staff's ability to game plan for them defensively.
