NFL memo warns teams on faking injuries http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d822702b5/article/league-memo-discourages-clubs-from-feigning-injuries
Well, Bart Scott just said on PTI that it's just a part of the game, and a weapon that the defense can have, the same way the hurry-up offense is a weapon for the offense.
I was listening to Screaming A. Smith on the ride home from LI today, and some Giant fan called in and claimed it's all the Jets fault and that the Giants only got the diving from the Jets. Interesting, considering this goes pretty far back. Willie McGinest did it against Peyton at least once.
Huh? What did he think, that faking injuries was a venereal disease they got from sharing toilet seats in the stadium? Sometimes it amazes me how idiotic people are willing to be just so they can get on TV or the radio.
He said the Giants took it right from the Jets playbook. And he repeated that just to make sure no one would get confused. I guess the Jets share their secrets with the Giants sometimes over lunch or something.
The media will find any excuse to bash the Jets. I'm not a conspiracy guy, its just true. They do whatever they can to attack this team. Its cool by me, because its done nothing but focus the franchise.
Maybe it was The Dark Knight's cousin who made the call. The Jets had this done against them when playing the Broncos in 2008, but I do not recall the last time the Jets faked injuries.
last year against the pats. Lots of teams do it against prolific hurry-up offenses. But as the trend of that offense style spreads it has become more common and more noticeable so the league is going to tighten it up.
the problem isn't faking injuries, it is always going to happen. you just don't do it so it is blatantly fucking obvious. the Giant players were standing around, look at each other, and on cue two guys fall to the ground. the league should fine the Giants organization for that display.
