While I don't disagree Cruz isnan idiot, the refs were right by sticking to the call on the field, which was not challengeable. My first thought was Cruz ducked to avoid taking a hit. But he sure as hell shouldn't have let the ball go regardless of why he went to the ground.
good point, because instead of trying to correct what was obvious to everyone as a blown call, that is the time to hide behind the rulebook and compound the injustice and stupidity. makes perfect sense if you're fucking retarded.
First, of course, is that they should never have made such an idiotic call. Second, however, is that a call being challengeable has nothing to do with it; the officials can change a call on the field to correct it any time they want. Just ask the Pats - they had a defensive PI call (which can't be challenged) magically turned into a no call today, even after the penalty had already been announced to the crowd (first time I can recall seeing that). There was absolutely no excuse for that call.
Eli Manning said it was a blown call and the NBC halftime crew unanimously agreed it was a blown call. Boger should be tarred and feathered.
Collinsworth accusing Sanchez of taking dives now to avoid further hits. **Dammit....wrong thread. Sorry.*******
Something new for MNF tonight. Hank Williams Jr. called the President a Nazi and has been removed from the opening song segment tonight. And likely forever.
Painter helps get the Colts a first down. I don't get it. Why did the Colts bother with Kerry Collins? Ditto the Jets in 1999 with Rick Mirer. Both teams signed turds from outside their organization when they had better guys on the team.
nullified by penalty because Benn allegedly stepped out of bounds first. TB challenging. Horrible play by Indy, nevertheless. They didn't cover Benn and then three guys missed him inside the 20.
Does anyone else have a problem with the red font ESPN uses for their game clock? I feel like the entire game is in the 2 minute drill.
Right now I believe Painter is a better option than Collins. I couldn't believe it when Indianapolis signed Collins. Painter's been with the team for 2+ seasons. The coaching staff didn't think he was ready? They preferred a relic from outside the organization? Unreal. Anyway, I prefer Painter over Collins and therefore this means I believe the Colts can win 11 games.
As I've posted, the question to me wasn't why they signed Collins. It was why they had Painter on the roster. The staff obviously felt Painter was terrible, if they were going to pay Collins millions to come out of retirement and start. Collins isn't much good. What does that say for the team's opinion of Painter? Why spend time and money on a guy if after several years you're still unwilling to play him if the starter is incapacitated?
