whatever, it's not that big of a deal. one of those teams is the dolphins, and the chargers still have to travel 5 hours to play us. as the jets have demonstrated, the bye week isn't always a good thing for teams. it depends on the team
See someone gets it. We are fucking terrible. You all are too worried for no reason... Our coaching blows, our secondary blows, our run defense sucks in the 2nd half, our offense is too plain...
Id be interested to see, if its even available, an aggregate record al time for teams coming off the bye. I wouldnt think the team coming off the bye has any sort of great winning record. BUt maybe they do
some teams play well after byes, others do not. This isn't a big deal. The last time we played SD they had a bye too, how did that work out? If we lose it won't be b/c other teams had a bye.
It sucks yes, but there is nothing the Jets can do about. Just win the first game and then focus on the second. This tough schedule should make them a better team in the long run. Not to worried about flipper but worried about the bolts.
Teams coming off a bye week don't scare me, especially when those teams are the Dolphins and Chargers.
If we lose to the Dolphins, that pretty much ends the season and obliterates all expectations. While this will make us all very very bitter for a week or two, at least we will be free from the very real possibility of the crushing feeling that accompanies a playoff breaking loss in December, potentially to the Giants. With that said, I firmly believe we will destroy the Fish and the Jets true to form will keep us all on the edge of madness for months to come.
You might want to research this football thing if you're not worried about the Chargers. They're 4-1 and they're really, really good.
They aren't "really, really good"... We we in that game with them...but our offense fucking sucks and our secondary blows... They almost let Tim Tebow beat them... "really really good" my ass.
YOU might want to research this football thing. Don't just look at records man. They are 4-1 barely winning each of their first 5 cupcake games. If the Jets and Chargers switched schedules, I wonder what each of their records would be right now?
The Chargers are Fantasy Champs and Reality Chumps Glossy statistics and a roster that shines on paper. Once on the field, the Chargers enter the "Norv Paradox" where they are physically unable to perform up to potential, no matter how great the matchups favor them. Whether it be terrible play calling, untimely clock management, poor challenges, freak turnovers or missed chip shot field goals, this team almost puts up gaudy numbers and either loses or eeks out a 2-5 point victory. Please see Patriots game this year. Also, the Jets, for some reason, OWN the Chargers over the last 10 years. They are always better on paper, and we always win. I believe our last loss to san Diego, Brooks bollinger was behind center, and was 1 yard away from winning the game. We must first squish the fish before we worry about those habitual under achievers.:finssuck:
