i really dont get why we dont play turner at his TE spot ... he blocks just as well and is an actual threat to catch the ball

i have a couple problems with this...

    1) it doesnt matter if he blocks like anthony munoz, and opens a hole that parts defenders like the red sea if the play concludes with a yellow flag on the ground and the refs marching our offense back 10 yards because he was called for holding

    2) I find it hard to believe he is that good of a run blocker what with us being 30th in the NFL in yards per carry and 24th and total rushing yards.

I would love to believe this but can Turner really block just as well?

Apparently not on running plays. Give the CS some credit here. From what I hear, Mulligan grades out very well as a run blocking TE.

Yea he's a good blocker if he doesn't draw a false start penalty.

I'm getting just a bit tired of hearing Mulligan's name associated with critical penalties. His sideline act is getting pretty old as well. For a guy who's presence on the roster is due to a injury to a more productive player, he's not making any real impression except that of a career fck up.

As far as I'm concerned he's a fucking penalty machine who couldn't block a building that's directly in front of him.............

He's not even smart enough to shut the fuck up when he totally blows up a play and is getting his ass reamed....

The best advice to give Mulligan would be: Matt, you're the worst player on the team, one of the worst players in franchise history, when you screw up, stand there and take it like a man. You are in no position to bitch about anyone criticizing your atrocious play.

My guess is he's not there yet, but one more fuck up away from the dog house, which may be the practice squad, but more likely an outright cut.

The other piece of this is why they don't play Baker more. he must not be that great a run blocker, I guess.

I also read that PFF currently rates Mulligan as the #2 rated TE for run blocking in the league.
