I have to ask, are you idiots who are bashing Sanchez watching the same Fkng game I am???

How often do you see a Jets receiver with ANY separation, and Sanchez more than a fraction of a second to throw a pass without 5 defenders draped all over him???

You idiots won't be happy until you run him out of town!

Great, then we can draft another QB, and as soon as he is not Joe Montana by year 3, we can start over again!

    So frustrating!

He is in year 3, year 3!!!

He has slow WR's who get zero separation, an poor excuse for a TE, a HORRID o-line, an average at best running game, and possibly the most QB UNFRIENDLY offense I have ever seen! That is right, QB UNFRIENDLY! The offense coordinator is completely clueless, completely! 4 QB's and all have been shit under schithead, and it's all their fault right?? What a joke.

And because he is not able to overcome this, he sucks, and its time to move on???? Are you FKNG kidding me?

Why is it that I see every GOOD QB in this league with WR running all over the place with defenders nowhere near them??

It's amazing, WR's are open, give them time to throw, they can hit them!!!

    Amazing concept???

Brady has 2-3 guys with no defenders within 5 yards on almost every play.

When do you EVER see that with the Jets??

They are either max protecting with 1-2 guys out for a route, in which our shit oline still cannot give any time, or they are running predictable routes in which the other team knows exaclty what they are going to do.

I am so sick of all the idiots who know nothing about football, and will scream about the QB, as if he is supposed to pull off a fking miracle on every play!!

Does he make mistakes, FK yeah!! So does every other damn QB in the league! Get over it, he is not going to be perfect, but to run this kid out of town is just stupid, idiotic!

yes thats exactly what i'm saying

you can't see the receivers routes in the tv, you can only see sanchez "holding the ball too long and doing something stupid"
well the reason he's doing that is because THERE ARE NO OPEN RECEIVERS, sanchez is not mentally retarded

I can't even count the number of plays that were 4 receivers running down the field and not a single player to show up in the middle

Also, what the hell was that first interception? clearly kerley was supposed to run a longer route

Are you suggesting that a system in which we run 60% of the time some weeks and pass 70% of the time in others, kind of randomly distributing the carries and passes, might not be the best way to establish consistency on offense?

I have to admit that no part of me was willing to believe that the Jets would call 64 pass plays against the Giants today after getting dismantled by the Eagles last week. It just literally was not in the possible sequences of play that I imagined for the game. I guess that's why Schotty gets paid the big bucks.

Sanchez isn't the problem. He's an extremely average quarterback who's being asked to carry an offense. He can't help being limited...Schottenheimer can help not having Sanchez throw 60 times in a game, when Sanchez isn't capable of succeeding like that.

You can win with an average, game-manager at quarterback. That's what Sanchez is, but he needs to be utilized that way. Designing your offense as though he's an elite passer is a surefire way to sabotage the offense.

This post hits the nail on the head

We need a new OC who understands how to adapt to specific players and situations within a game

Not trying to run him out of town here.

But you're delusional if you think Sanchez is anything close to a franchise QB. A better coaching staff might be able to bring out the best in him -- see harbaugh and Alex smith -- but right now Matt Moore is a better QB than Sanchize, and the way he's playing he's more of a liability than an asset.

It's not every play that he's running for his life. Making faster and better reads are skills that can be practiced and improved upon. When the protection breaks down and he's outside the pocket he has to learn to throw the ball out of bounds instead of taking sack fumbles and throwing into triple coverage.

On the game-ending safety LT was wide open in front of him and you can see Sanchez staring at him, yet he hesitates and drifts back into the endzone instead of getting rid of it.

Sanchez is perfectly fine. Too many Jets fans expect the world from him and ignore the fact that for the 2nd year in a row he's improved his numbers and his game on almost all fronts. If receivers can't get open and our offensive line can't stop committing penalties, what's the man supposed to do? Schotty gets a huge portion of the blame because he developed a pass heavy game plan, and stuck with it, even though it wasn't working and Greene was averaging over 4 a carry. Sanchez is the fall out guy because he's the QB, and some morons think that the QB is the entire team.

There really are a lot of idiot Jet fans. I wonder if this team has a higher percentage than most.

There are often plays to be made but Nacho either locks in one receiver and completely misses seeing the open guy and when there is indeed separation, he air mails. Look at that Joe McKnight play from todays game. Wide open and having 3-5 yards separation and the pass was NOWHERE near catchable. This happens time and time again from this QB and people here are sick of it and i cant blame them. Year 3 is almost in the books with very minimal progress. His football IQ is still abysmal. He takes needless sacks half the time instead of throwing the ball away. That safety today is something you see in a rookie QB. If he gets run out of town, he played himself out of town. The bottom third of the league stats that he is putting up isn't going to keep him around much longer. Year 4 is coming up soon and its either step up or step out.

this is why we need to get rid of schotty. If we put sanchez in a system that benefits his strengths then we'll definitively know if he's our qb for the future. until then there will always be some who believe he is and others who believe he isnt

Its pointless to reason with some of these Sanchez lovers. They all want to blame everyone BUT Sanchez. He gets paid like a top 5 QB and god forbid we expect better play from a QB who is posting bottom third of the league numbers now in year 3. Sanchez improvements are so small its like he upgraded from awful to just bad. Certainly nothing to brag about. The only thing it will take for them to finally admit Sanchez is part of the problem is for Schotty to get canned only for Sanchez to have the same bad performances after bad performances again next year...

All your points are valid. I watch other teams and Im just wow'd. Our WR's are pretty bad. Holmes is a good 2 at best. Plax is a nice option but he's slow as hell. And kerley is too small to be utilized for anything other than the slot.

Yeah I must say our reciever are terrible at getting seperation. Its like they dont even try, and when they do get open they drop the ball. It pisses me off cuz EVERY route is very tight and throw needs to be perfect yet for Brady and others, his targets always get so much seperation.

A better thread title would be "Tired, angry Jet fans." As years keep going by, there's always something wrong with this team. There's always something why this team can't deliver. Sanchez, defense, Rex, Schotty, slow receivers, bad offensive line - it doesn't really matter who/what it is. The fact is something is ALWAYS wrong.

So the fact that Nacho is being coached this way goes out the window?
We drafted a rookie and our CS is absolutey killing his progress.

The fact that Shotty and Our QB coach seem to care more about bullshit than teaching him how to read a defense is a joke.

The offense isn't based on what the Defense does. It's looks like just a bunch of guys running routes and Sanchez has to somehow find the open guy.

All this pre snap bullshit "Kill Kill" and hand signals is meaningless.

I would love to see them let Sanchez run a 2min drill. but nope, he always has to wait for Shitty to call a play and huddle up.
    Really?

You get in a real OC and then find out if we have our future qb or not. Until you switch systems to a NFL system and not a flag football system (you go 5 steps and turn around), we will have no idea what Sanchez can truly do.

The only real bothersome thing I see regardless of the system is his accuracy..which has gone out the door and down the shitter this year. Manning struggled with that his first couple years too. Get a real system and reevaluate.
