Yeah, Shotty should have been more clear when gameplanning with Mark to make sure he understood that passing to the other team's defensive linemen is bad.
Colin Cowherd has also made this comparison. I know he's a hyperbolic douche, but he has said that he views Romo as a poor-man's Aaron Rodgers and Sanchez as a poor-man's Romo. I think the hiring of Sparano and Haley wouldn't cause much congestion because Rex will make the decisions ultimately anyway. While Rex hasn't been very involved with the Offense the past 3 years, he's stated that he will be more involved next season. So, when we're pondering what might happen with Sparano and/or Haley on 4th & 1 next season, don't forget that Rex has the final say.
So Rodgers is a CEO making millions a year running a Fortune 500 company. Romo is the poor mans Rodgers, so he's a small business owner making a few hundred thousand. Sanchez is the poor mans Romo, so he's the kid running a lemonade stand for pennies a day. Got it.
Sanchez has one of the slower releases in the league. To compare him to Romo and especially Rogers, in my mind, is a little silly.
Regardless, I don't think mechanics is the point of the comparison. Cowherd contends that all three QBs have above-average mobility, can make throws out of the pocket/on the run, and can make big plays in the clutch.
Rex was actually neither this year, the team chemistry was shot, he lost the locker room & the team went into a tailspin & the defense sucked the big one.
What??? Romo's passing ability is lightyears ahead of sancheese, a much better arm & a quicker release. sancheese's arm isn't bad but it's is nowhere near as good as Romo's.
I meant be competitive with Belicheat and the Pats. The Jets have already been (not this year) competitive with them in recent years. Sparano has had some success against shitsnap as well. I think he and Haley will only help.
Now let's talk about his brain. Because when the fourth quarter begins, Tony Romo's brain turns into a bag of Gummi Bears.
Belicheat usually owns everyone, splitting with NE regularly is a good indicator that your football team is a contender. Ending them in the playoffs would be "stickin it to em", and as long as they're trading games with NE you know this team can pull out a win against them in the playoffs. I'll try to be more clear next time.
