Clyde Christianson worked with Moore as the QB coach for 8 years. Maybe QB coach for the Jets

Maybe Uncle Tom can persuade a QB to come here that wont need to be coached...

Manning needs coaches to help him break down film during the week. He calls his own plays.

Maybe you missed the stories where even Brady would call his QB mentor to get tips on what he needed to tweak.

As Brunell's Debt said, all QB's need coached.

Nah you're wrong. Every QB before Sanchez came into the NFL an immediate superstar.

    Only Mark Sanchez needs coaching.

You guys just spring on any chance to correct someone lol it's so funny, it's called an exaggeration.
In this case it outlines the extreme inequities of our current QB and eludes to the relation Uncle Tom has with "another" QB.

Forget manning, if we don't ask Pennington to be our QB coach, maybe we can persuade Tom Moore to do it for the next 2-3 yrs, see if he can develop Mark into something more than mediocre.

Look, its pretty clear that I have become the leader of the "Get Sanchez the fuck out of NY and bring in Peyton Manning" club, but it seems like a stretch to say Moore will have any influence in his decision.

The big 3 seem to be:

    1. Can the team win.
    2. Will he be able to do what he wants on offense
    3. Will the team be able to pay him at least 10-15 million dollars.

After that, he might look into location, taxes, where his family is comfortable, the history of the franchise, existing OC, the schedule, etc.., but I do not see Tom Moore playing into this decision in any way, shape or form, unless Moore all of a sudden changes his mind and says he wants to be the Assistant Head Coach and coach the passing game...

One of the biggest - if not the biggest – issue people have with Tony Sparano right now is that he doesn’t have experience developing quarterbacks. So why are people hankering for Chad Pennington as QB coach? The guy has even less experience coaching.

I agree with this to an extent. I have no clue why the Jets dont bring Pennington in to be the QB Coach. Unless Penny wants to try another comeback, it seems like a no-brainer.

From what I know, he has a good relationship with Manning if he comes here, and well, no one gives a shit about Sanchez has to say at this point, so he should be forced to work with whoever is chosen.

Chad Pennington has no coaching experience. We are lacking QB coaching experience as it is.

You still need someone to take on what Haley's role would have been, but Penny should start by coaching the QB's. He might not have experience, but you get experience by starting small, and doing what you are good at. And he was born to be a QB coach imo.

Chad Pennington is a good guy and I believe he will be a good QB coach one day, and I do like his ties to the Jets, but he’s not the guy for the job right now.

Sanchez is struggling. We need to bring in a veteran coach who can come in and start fixing things right away. Pennington might eventually do a nice job, but we are going into Sanchez’s 4th year still trying to fix things, and we can’t afford to have a coach who’s learning-on-the-job himself. We need someone who can come in and make an impact immediately. Someone who will command respect from day one because of their experience and history.

    I agree.

As for Manning, I don't see how the Jets can clear the cap space for such a signing, so imo it's a waste of time to talk about it.

    Right on the money!!!

Why don't we find out whom the QB coach was for guys like Eli and Drew Brees, etc that needed a 4th and 5th year to develop into elite QBs? Maybe those QB coaches could have some insight as to what they did?
