And in Nov of 2007 you probably said Eli will never be better than his brother, let alone conceive of him possibly besting Tom Brady twice in the SB

There is no one out there who can say w/certainty what the future hols
but you can't deny the similarities

The similarities only exist with statistics.

If you just watch the two of them play QB, it is quite obvious that Sanchez severly lacks Eli's pocket presence, leadership and decision making skills.

Yes his pocket presence, leadership and decision making skills were so good in 2007 that his own GM called him 'skittish' during the season.

    Kill yourself.

Post season success does not mean Eli is better it means his team has played better in the post season. Eli has never even sniffed an MVP much less 4 of them.

what if a week from now eli has 2 rings 2 super bowl mvps and a much better playoff record(which he already does)?

ithink the argument will be a lot closer than you think when they are both done

    Good point.

If you want to compare Sanchez to anyone, compare Mark's last season playing under extreme pressure to Tom Brady and his record setting 18-0 season when the Pats ran head first into the G-men's front four buzz saw.

Even the great 'tom' could only muster 14 points in the biggest game of his career while running for his life and sitting on his ass. And he had Randy Moss wide open 90% of the game.

    ^ Almost

Chad was the brian with no tools and he was only able to muster two Wildcard game wins in 7 years. Sanchez picked up 4 road playoff wins and b2b AFCC games. It kinda flies in the face of a "brain" taking you farther than brawn.

No one thinks Sanchez is going to be better than Eli - certainly not now. And even us "freinds of Sanchez" don't believe that either, at least at this point. However, he can be better than Dilfer, Delhomme, and Hasselbeck.

Hmm so when either James Ihedigbo or Kenny Phillips gets a ring, by your logic, they are better than Ed Reed?

Perhaps the most obvious sign of someone who never played sports is one who can't differentiate between individual play versus team play.

Mike Piazza > Jorge Posada in every way, but wait Jorge is "a champion". Yes bc he was on a team that was superior AS A WHOLE.

As far as Sanchez, he is already superior to that Buffalo joke, but he also isn't very good. He's too short, doesn't have a great arm, and is inaccurate, IN ADDITION to the inability to go through progressions.

You know and I know that if he wins SB # 2, "Eli is better than Peyton" is all you are going to hear

You make the mistake of comparing 2011 Eli to Sanchez instead of 2007 late Nov Eli

Real point is that Eli has come a long way in 4 years, and as late as Nov of 2007 ( Vikings 41 Giants 17; Reese: Eli is skittish) no one would have been able to predict Eli's success. So saying Sanchez won't be as good as Eli at this point does not make sense.

I find it odd how a poster could name himself "GoldenShowers". Does that poster even know what it means?

Eli didn't have ANY of those traits in his first 3 seasons as a QB. It would be foolish to compare Eli of 7 years to Sanchez of 3.

Although, I do applaud your commitment to the anti-Sanchez league.

Problem in bring Peyton is that sanchez signed a 5 year contract. This upcoming season is year 4. If Peyton comes to the Jet I really doubt it will be just for 1 year. Sanches won't see the field for another 2 years. He would then go into free agency and we lose him. If we just have Payton for 1 year. Then sanchez comes back for year 5 of his contract in a contract year. Will he press knowing its his contract year and will that be an excuse for poor play. Just like HC's are lame ducks in final year of a contract QB's are similar as well. Its bad enough that sanchez don't have control of the locker room. Do you really want Sanchez handle a huddle year 5 with players questions if he will even come back?
