The Jets starting qb is now a free agent. Let the games begin. Hopefully Sanchez has his shit packed and is ready to go.
Peyton already said he would take a completely incentive driven contract, so if he gets hurt week 1 we can cut him and not lose much at all. I wonder what factors will go into his decision, Tom Moore is definately a factor because he was there at Duke watching him throw and talking to him. Could he possibly convince Peyton to come to NY despite the enviorment not being what hes used to?
Except Our current QB..... Why in the world do you have a Sanchez avatar if youre campaigning so hard for Peyton?
In all seriousness, I think it comes down to 4 things for Peyton: 1. A chance to win 2 Superbowls in 4 years. 2. Control over the offense. 3. A good defense. 4. Room for Reggie Wayne.
Peyton wouldn't even agree to be traded to the Jets. I eagerly await the tears of the befuddled fans begging their higher power for Brokeneck Mountain. Not an option.
If your QB isnt named Rodgers, Brees, or Brady then you should be campaining for Peyton. Hes better than every other QB out there besides those 3.
IF he is going to sign for next to nothing, sure. But every other team can give him so much more guaranteed that I hope the Jets don't try to match.
Are we talking 15 years ago now? And, it is clearly an option now. He is a free agent. Until he signs, he is an option.
Name another QB thats better than Peyton....hell even the Saints might be in this race. Obviously they are far outsiders, but if they cant resign Brees, im sure Manning would love to return home to the Saints. Not going to happen tho.
He wants to go to a winner. Not a team with a thousand holes and a piecemeal receiving corps. Just because you are delusional about the state of the Jets doesn't mean he is.
You don't even know what you're getting with Peyton Manning. For all we know he could be the next crippled old Favre from 2010. I don't see how every team in the league would risk everything for Manning.
You have a link to the article he said this? I seriously doubt Manning is gonna risk his health for a strictly make good contract.
So the Super Bowl champion Giants should want Peyton? This is crazy talk. Plenty of teams should have no interest, including the Jets.
