Did you miss the hiring of a ground and pound OC that has catered to, and won with two fairly green [no pun intended] QBs? Had a brand new Romo in Dallas, went with two tight end sets and a heavy dose of running. Had an older, run down Chad Pennington in Miami, he impliments the Wildcat. Had a brand new, shitty Chad Henne in Miami and instituted a run heavy, tight end heavy, smart and safe offense. You never say you DON'T want a hall of fame QB under center for you, but I'm not heartbroken. No one should be. Our list of problems goes far past QB... no single signing is putting us over the top this offseason.
I'm not saying it not over but until he signs with someone all we are hearing are rumors.Plus if he did want to sign with the Fins? Wouldn't he go visit the Jets to drive up the Fins price even more since we are in the same divison?
hopefully this lights a fire under sanchez. i want to see some emotion out of this kid besides the puppy dog look
Yeah, I mean there wasn't even a whisper about the Eagles until he signed there. But I do think we're such attention hos (by we I mean management) that if the Jets 'did' have a chance they would let everyone know they were in it and clearly they wanted him or they would have flatly denied right off they were going to get in the bidding. If we were going to make a splash, Mario Williams please. The Jets haven't had a true pass rusher since Abraham was in the 'right' system and Rex's defense with a pass rusher AND Revis could be deadly. I'm not even sure we could afford Williams though. I'm a Sanchez skeptic but the guy deserves one more year for crying out loud. After going to two AFC title games, we need to at least have a fourth year before throwing him overboard.
I don't know about you but I don't want a QB... or any other player I have to threaten his starting job by going out and getting someone to challage him for his starting spot. He should be doing that all his own.
Why do some of you keep bringing up mario williams. He's getting 10mil a yr wherever he goes. Keep dreaming Leron landry is an injury prone roidhead who will command about 5 or 6 mil a yr. The jets still need to get pouha resigned for 2 or 3 yrs which will cost 4 or 5 mil a yr alone Who's the voice of reason around here these days?
Great news. Let's bring in a realistic #2 to back up Sanchez, and if he isn't delivering by week 7 or 8, send him to the bench.
he should be he's had three years and I haven't seen that fire that I want to see. I started to see him get pissed at the receivers and line towards the end of last season though so that should be a positive
A rock, since it sounds a lot smarter saying nothing than some of these idiotic Jets fans these days.
It's okay, say something back. You've been banned 100 times anyway and nobody ever misses your posts.
