Three first rounders + a second and Schotty as OC. I'd would say Rams are somewhere near ±0 this off-season.
This has turned up the heat on the Manning suitors. Someone will be negotiating an all-in deal for Flynn while Manning is deliberating. The Dolphins may win the Tannehill stakes at this rate.
I'm just glad that the Jets have an elite QB and we don't have to get involved in all this QB clusterf***ery
http://dallas.sbnation.com/baylor-b...rt-griffin-peyton-manning-washington-redskins When the Washington Redskins dealt two future first-round picks to swap picks with the St. Louis Rams and move up to the No. 2 overall spot in the 2012 NFL Draft, it was widely assumed they were withdrawing from the Peyton Manning sweepstakes by putting themselves in position to select Baylor's Robert Griffin III. However, the latest reports out of Washington indicate the the Redskins are still interested in obtaining both QB's, with Manning presumably serving as Griffin's tutor This was already brought up, but what are the Redskins doing here? I'd have to assume they want to make their first round picks the next two years as crappy as possible (obviously) but what does that mean for their salary cap?
There isnt a Tannehill stakes. Its more of a desperation stake if anything. He's the consolation prize (a terrible one at that) for one of these teams that dont end up with Flynn or Manning.
Jackson and Finnegan will be a package deal, they want to play together, so I doubt he goes there since they dont have much of a need for a corner. Id say theyre probably going to campaign for Colston or Lloyd and then draft plenty of WRs from this class.
this is absolutely the case. It seems like an insane amount, but if they are right and RGIII is a super bowl winning QB, the trade will absolutely be worth it. If not they are fucked.
That is because the Saints placed the Exclusive franchise tag on Brees. No team can go after him because of this. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...use-exclusiverights-franchise-tag-on-qb-brees
I like the move. RG3 has the potential to be a monster in this league and he has great leadership skills. They have a very good D and now they have a leader to build a team around. The guy has great physical skill and is one of the smartest guys in the entire draft. This move is very similiar to what the Giants did to aquire Eli. On paper the Skins gave up more but if you consider Rivers a franchise quality QB that's only on paper.
I think this is a desperate but smart move for the Skins, time will tell if it is a good one. QB is the only position worth this type of gamble and Griffin has the intangibles and physical talent to make it work for the Skins. Skins really had no choice here, Manning is not gonna happen and Flynn is not worth the contract he will end up getting. These picks will be meaningless if Griffin reaches his potential. The SKins also have a lot of cap room and will fill in the blanks in FA. Good trade for both teams involved, although chances are Rams lose out on both Blackmon and Claiborne but have a ton of high picks to rebuild with over the next 3 drafts now.
Damn, that seems like a rip off. So now that THAT'S out of the way. How about those Jets trading up for Matt Kalil? With RG3 out of the picture the value should be down. I know it's a pipe dream...
Problem for them is Lloyd has a hardon for the Pats, plus the Rams want him back. And the Skins dont have a 1st or 2nd round pick this year, so thats gonna be an issue. At least they were smart enough to lock up Davis
The Vikings are an absolute lock to take Kalil at #3 so unless we want to give up 3 first round picks for him I am guessing not
Maybe we extended Sanchez so that we could trade him to the Skins for the #2 pick. After all it was rumored they wanted him
