I guess guys don't mind being backups---ELSEWHERE. ANYONE HAVE THE # 'S on how much and how many years ?
Good move for the Bears, especially after last years display of bad back up QB's that cost them a playoff spot.
Probably sees a greater opportunity in Chicago either way. There's a chance Cutler goes down with an injury and Campbell sees the field there, while Sanchez seems to take hit after hit without going off the field lol.
Maybe nobody wants to play here anymore..if that's the case it will become pretty obvious in the next few days.
What decent QB would want to come play here to be the backup? Rex has made it really clear that no matter how bad Sanchez plays, the backup isn't getting a shot. The new contract pretty much guarantees Sanchez will be the starter for the next 2 years unless he gets seriously injured.
So you think he has any shot of playing over Cutler?? Only way he sniffs the field is if Cutler is hurt. They are not going to pull him out when he has a bad game and put in Campbell. You don't bench a QB when he's having a bad game in this league unless you are ready to give up on him for good.
No, he has no shot at starting unless Cutler gets injured, but that is why it was a 1 year deal. I disagree with not benching a QB unless you are ready to give up on him. It is a fine line, but a QB needs to know that there is a guy ready to take his place if he doesn't play well. It provides a healthy competition which only makes the starter better. Sanchez has been coddled and knows that no matter how poorly he plays, his job is secure. That does not help a QB progress.
yes, a player the Jets didn't even seem to pursue means that nobody wants to play for the Jets. sheer stupidity.
