Would you trade for Brees and sign extension ? If so, who would you trade for him?

I would trade Sanchez and Revis because the salary would work and we would have a balanced offensive and defensive juggernaut.

I know this would never happen, but it could work.

    What would you trade?

If you traded Revis, your defense will take a significant hit IMO. He is the undisputed defensive player of the world and makes your defense's ability to blitz and send guys dangerous.

I don't think we have anything to trade that NO would want :( whereas Revis would be a good bargain, especially considering his young and in the prime of his career.

Revis is non-negotiable. Anything else is fair game.

I'm not giving him the money he's asking for - so no trade

I would trade Revis for Brees. Brees can win us a SB. Revis cant. End of story

Agreed. Plus, we may just lose Revis anyway and be left with nothing (he becomes a free agent in 2 years).

This would never hapen, IMO, but I would definitely trade Revis + Sanch (and throw in Tebow) for Brees.

Our D would suffer but we'd probably still be top 15 or top 10. Our Offense would instantly rise to top 10 at least.

Our defense with Revis is significantly better than our offense would be with Brees.

Brees (or any elite QB for that matter) can instantly turn a team into a contender overnight, but if we're going to make one unit elite at the expense of the other, what difference does it make? The net effect is still the same.

rex can scheme around cro and wilson asthe starters and keep the unit as a top 10 d

brees automatically makes the offense a top 15 making us a instant super bowl contender

i would give them anything except brick and mangold

Would have to be Sanchez and Revis for Brees and something. Sanchez and Revis for Brees would give us cap room and that might be reason enough to do the deal at this point.

Except we have Rex Ryan, one of the best defensive minds in football. Our offensive coaching is lacking, even with Sporano. Rex would keep us in contention even without Revis.

That being said, for the most part I want Revis to be a Jet for life... only the most extreme circumstances (like Brees) can change that.

Revis and Sanchez for Brees and 1st - PROVIDED Brees comes with the entire offensive system he played with in NO. (I think Jets OL can handle the job all right, with better emphasis on running game - it is the passing game that concerns me. Sparano shouldn't have much trouble working with the system Brees played with; after all, Sean Payton and Sparano are all from Parcells tree.)

Iv never believed that Just going out and grabbing a Great Quarterback is the sure fire way to be successful in the NFL. Maybe the short term , but I think you grow your quarter back from within or by drafting him. Brees is good , but there is absolutely nothing that says he would be the same quarterback as a Jet. I wouldn't trade for him and It would be another Mega deal that we cant absorb........ Pass!

You realize if we did this Sanchez would become one of the leagues top passers and Brees would suffer a second tear of the rotator cuff in his throwing arm. Just sayin.
