GMC...You honestly make absolutely no sense. What does Rex the coach having been overweight in the past have anything to do with the professional athlete's on his roster not being in good enough shape for TC. How is this his fault? Are you kidding me? So Rex used to be fat...So therefore, he shouldn't expect his players to be in shape? And if they aren't he's to blame?

So following your school of thought, if a head coach is black should he not comment on white players because he isnt white? WTF?1?

    Get a grip.

I understand but isnt training camp and pre-season the time when QBs get acquainted with the WRs.. pass patterns likes dislikes speed etc... Go ahead and shoot me but I would get T.O in here tommorow. The guy is in shape and maybe he can show these rookies a thing or two.

Rex leading by example. How much respect do you think a fat obese coach gets from players? Players dont wanna hear being in shape from a guy who almost ate himself to death. Im glad to see Rex healthy again. Its good for everyone players and coaches. Look around the league at the other head NFL coaches and tell me who else is as as fat as Rex was.

Definitely nothing to worry about. I just hate that Rex clearly told the players to show up in certain shape, and rightfully expected them to comply. He seems to be venting because they didn't listen.

I really dont think you have a realistic POV on this at all. I highly doubt that the players have a Rex was fat so fuck it attitude. I dont think that Rex demanded players be in shape so much as he expected it because theyre professionals. Who's hurt? Schilens, Kerley, Holmes, guys who have experience in this league and should understand the basics of showing up fit, i HIGHLY doubt that these guys came into OTAs going you know what Rex used to be overweight so im going to go against league expectations and show up to camp unfit

Schillens is and was supposed to replace Braylon Edwards......... hes been injured most of his career. How many times in his NYJET career was Edwards injured or slugging it in camp? This group of WRs looks good on paper but I still see the lack of depth and the need for a vet here.

Wouldnt it be something if they re-signed Plax or T.O......:eek:hmy:

No Schilens has had knee problems but i dont think a bit of a hammy issue automatically means hes fucked, give the guy a shot, he was with the Raiders not much of a chance there. And seriously??? T.O?? Hes like 38 and has been on Dr.Phil not to mention he was cut by an Arena team! Hes the best you got?? Youre reaching man, id rather this team look into Marcus McNeill then T.O Also i think Plax was supposed to replace Braylon not Chaz, so technically Schilens is suppose to replace Plax

Parcells and Reid were heavy and they seem to do OK. Was Weeb in great shape when he won SB3? You are plain wrong!

with you, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I'd rather see what we have at that position already on our team. We must develop our kids and stop bringing in older players on a rental basis. Continuity is what makes for a successful team. There is no continuity if every year we bring in an old guy to play a year or two, at best!

In todays world obesity is shunned upon. Players are in way better shape than they were years ago with the advanced training methods and training facilities.

Youre right! I remember Michael Irvin and Jerry Rice being grossly over weight and totally out of shape. Prob why they both ended up cleaning bathrooms at a White Castle and not in the HOF
