He must've played beer pong with Ganaway. I played beer pong with Ray Rice once. True story. Maybe I should start my own Jets blog and rave about Rice. In all seriousness, Steiny is a good writer.
Bowe would work you are right. We need help at WR. Tanne cuts 2 something is up. @AdamSchefter Hearing Jets have inquired with Kansas City regarding Dwayne Bowe
i'd love to make a deal for one of those guys and everyone else here would too. i just don't see tanny making a trade though. Tone will be ready for the season opener and i honestly think they have confidence in Chaz, Kerley, and Hill.
Nope Rex seems aggravated with the group especially those not practicing. Kerley and Schillens. Schillens was brought here to be a #2. Rex and Tanne both on the hot seat. Woody wants results.
Dwayne Bowe remains a ghost at Kansas City Chiefs facilities, but the wide receiver might not be digging in for the long haul. Chiefs training camp report The Chiefs possess talent on offense and a potentially scary-good defense, which has Bucky Brooks saying they could be a darkhorse contender for the AFC title. More ... Per a source with knowledge of the situation, ProFootballTalk.com reported Monday that Bowe "plans to show" before the regular season begins. Players on the franchise tender begin earning their paycheck during Week 1, so Bowe will get every penny as long as he's signed and in uniform on Sept. 9 against the Atlanta Falcons. Since Bowe has yet to sign his $9.5 million tender, he's not subject to team fines that could pressure him to report. So Bowe would still be covered from a business sense, but it doesn't account for missing the installation of a new offensive gameplan or the increased injury risks that come with the 0-to-60 nature of immediately sliding into meaningful game action. Then there's the head-scratching nature of his holdout to begin with. Even if the Chiefs did want to give Bowe the long-term deal he covets, the negotiation window is already closed, per NFL rules. Bowe has no leverage of which to speak. Unless you count making life difficult for coaches and teammates.
Bowe's worst year was as good as Harvin's best year. He's on a different level. It's a shame that he's not really available, because he'd add a whole different dimension to our offense.
Not sure how the Jets afford Bowe, unless they can financially afford to cut Holmes after the season? I know we have some cap wizards on the site. Does anyone have any insight here? Especially with Keller & Revis needing contracts at seasons end.
the moment I saw the Jets cut those 2 I called my friend and said Tanny is up to something. If Schefter is reporting the Jets are looking at Bowe, that says to me that Harvin and Wallace are also targets. Something big may happen in the coming days. Cromartie to me is a guy that gets shipped in a deal, but let's sit back and wait. Best case we end up with a top guy...Worst case we end up with Sims-Walker Either way, we end up better.
both are beasts. The Jets don't just inquire about a player of that calibre after waiving 2 WR's in a thin spot for no reason. Harvin, Bowe, Wallace...All targets for Jets.. The Jets will do something...Will it be big impact? Not necessarily. But something is coming..
I just checked Schefter's twitter feed and this is nowhere to be found. Can anyone validate this tweet?
