Let me see 2009 Jets were #1 in rushing attempts per game 2010 Jets were #2 in rushing attempts per game 2011 Schotty decided that since the Jets had only made the AFCCG in back to back years that he needed to revamp our offensive philosphy so we fell to 17th in rushing attempts per game and missed the playoffs. Of course were a run first team, this is a fucking rex ryan team. If you dont think were a run first team, then you know absolutely nothing about Rex Ryan
Never had 1000 yards in a season. Career high is 6 TDs. If the Jets gave up a first and Kerley for him I would be pissed. Marshall was traded for 2 third round picks and he is a better WR than Percy. Yes opinions can be retarded mr. sensitive.
We shall soon see if that holds true this year. Im not buying it just yet. Let me ask you this being you are so football and NYJETS knowledgeable....... Whats is PLAN B for the WR position? Any ideas? Id like to hear them.
Harvin hasn't exactly been a model citizen in Minnesota. Besides I don't care about that I just want someone who will produce. Marshall is just flat out much better than headache Harvin.
I know for a fact the Jets will be top 10 in rushing attempts this year, probably even top 5. We have Holmes Kerley Hill Schillens to a lesser extent Turner and an even lesser extent White. That is a serviceable receiving corp, unquestionably superior to what we had last year. We arent a pass first team, we dont need to go out and get a Percy Harvin. Odds are if we make a move its going to be for someone making minimal amount of cash. Either someone for close to the vet min or a late/conditional draft pick. I ABSOLUTELY assure you this is gonna be a run heavy team
You have to be a troll. You have to. Either that, or you are the stupidest person on this entire forum.
Dude, we are definitely a run first team. Kerley and a 1st for Harvin is dumb. sorry man, but there is no other way to say that. If we play to our strength, which I believe we all agree is our defense, you run the football. You protect the football, wear on the opposing defense and play a game of field position. Our defense should make some plays this year. Our running game can get back on track with a committee of players. Greene, Tebow, Sanchez, McKnight, Powell and maybe Ganaway. The most important key to our strength is protecting the football. We have to mix up our play calling, bang inside and outside and when the opposing defense least expects it you hit them with the Play action over the top and Stephen Hill becomes the biggest sensation in New York City. The real workers are going to be the guys that can pound and protect the football. Sanchez is money with the deep bomb. I see #6 faking to #23 rolling out of the pocket and hitting #84 for 6pts a lot this season.
Why is that? Because you say so or because I dont agree with the crowd? COME ON MAN. STOP THE HATE HERE.
Make fun of me? What are we all inmature here or what? Football forum NYJETS I have my OPINIONS and you have yours.
The NYJETS dont even have a legit #1 WR on the roster and a bunch of unproven WRs on the depth chart. Anyone who disagrees with me on that. You have alot to learn about NFL football.
If the Jets didnt think Holmes was a legit #1 they wouldnt of given him a 50 million dollar contract.
And just who was the OC when the Jets were #1 in 2009. I think it was the same guy who was the OC when they were #2. Your incessant need to protect Jet players by blaming everything on Shotty has reached a new high. Did you even consider that the man who designed a predominantly running offense for 2 years had a REASON for passing the ball more last season???? Did you even consider that he was FORCED to run the ball less??? Did you ever consider that he looked at his OL talent, and RB talent and concluded that he COULDN'T lead the NFL in attempts and win. I don't think so. It's so much easier to simple attach blame and move on to the next target. Its the new American Passtime. Something goes wrong, lets assign blame.
The Jets passed the ball 60 times against the Giants dude. Despite the fact that Greene was avging over 4 YPC That game was one of the single biggest travestys ive seen. Yes I understand that they had to pass the ball more, partially because of the offensive line. But Greene still managed a respectable 4.2 YPC on the year which is very decent. And at the same time he had to pass more because of the OL, yet shouldnt he of had to run more since pass blocking was atrocious and our receivers suck ? The only thing I blamed on Schotty was the offensive play calling, which im pretty sure he was in charge of. Either way the point I was making is that were a run first team. I doubt you would disagree with that
Anyone who watched the Jets' games the last 3 years knows how detrimental Schotty has been to this offense. Your opinion is welcome but misinformed.
