This (what has been shown) can not be the new offense. Its Shotty ball all over again. They have to be waiting for the regular season and healthy WR's. Even for this Sunday its reported Sanchez and Tebow wont be on the field at the same time. Not saying i want that to be a big part of the offense. But it might be.

the punter needs to go,there is no arguing that.however if the offense plays better the punter doesn't need to be a pro bowler.and the offense will play better when they game plan based on the opponents strengths and weaknesses.

relax enjoy the sunshine and get ready for a good year

I feel like the Jets are going to get off to a very slow start, maybe 1-4 or 2-3, and then they're going to struggle on from there with ups and downs mainly caused by a dysfunctional offense and the defense's occasional failures being magnified as a result.

Given that Sparano is installing a new offense a slow start is to be expected. The Jets went out 3-3 when Hackett was installed and then 2-5 the next season when Chad came in for Vinny and the entire offense shifted gears. Both years they had clearly better talent than we have on hand at the moment on that side of the ball.

Giving 2005 a pass, because the offense was an injury-inspired disaster that year, 2006 saw Schotty come in to a 2-3 welcome. 2007 was another disaster.

So the Jets are highly unlikely to muster the points to have a good start in Sparano's first half dozen games, by which time everybody is going to be pointing fingers anonymously - because that's what the Jets do best these days and the rest of the season is going to be a teetering-tottering mess.

If we're lucky the defense will be gangbusters and the special teams wont give away any games and the offense will be able to score against some of the weak defenses in the second half of the season. That's the 8-8/9-7 scenario.

If we're not lucky the defense will be good but have issues with playing 35 minutes a game and the offense will be mostly yuck and the special teams will look mediocre for the second year in a row. That's the 6-10/7-9 scenario.

I won't go into what will happen if the Jets get unlucky with injuries this season because I just ate and even thinking about that is making me nauseated.

every team has this concern.i don't care what team it is getting lucky with injuries are part of the game and every year a team loses playoff asperations to the injury bug.the jets are no exception

^ I think we will have fits in the opener agains the Bills.........I just have not seen one thing yet that makes me think this team will right the wrongs of last season.

Division Champions, I stand by it. I predict the Pats will decline this year. I predict Brady will take a lot of nasty hits this year but will still play, and I predict the Bills will be more trouble then the Pats for our division but we will take it.

    Wait and see.

There is simply nothing to support that the Pats will decline. One can only make that argument when Brady retires. The Pats are not going away this year, and I can not stand the Pats.

As far as us winning the division goes, it would be nice, but so far my enthusiasm is tepid.

I think Bradway's assessment is probably more in line, but I hope he is wrong.

To get a Wildcard spot, the Jets are going to have to win the close games. That's what it boils down to IMO.

Jets can win close games - if every game is competitive and were every game, I love our chances at a 10-6 record

I don't know how you could possibly think the Pats will decline this year. They will have a better defense. Their entire draft was on defense (except their last pick), where they needed help...this includes 2 first round picks. They brought in a couple of few free agents that will help. Tom Brady just had his second best season IMO. Did you see him play last year? He is still crazy good. He's too good.

They were 13-3 last year and were VERY close to winning another Super Bowl. They are better on paper now. To me, a healthy Brady guarantees the Pats winning the division pretty much.

Seriously, that is your only concern? And you really think bringing in a new RT a few days before the season opens and who has no clue what his blocking resposibilities are will be an improvement? We were an 8-8 team last year, where have we improved?

    That's the spirit.

Excluding the division champs in the AFC, I got 5-7 other teams whose fanbase like their chances of going 10-6 for a Wildcard spot...nothing has happened yet. Our division pairs up against the NFC West and the AFC South this year, so that's pretty favorable outside a couple of few teams.

I admit, I have nothing to back up my predictions, I'm just going off of a gut feeling I have. Let's see how it all plays out!

I hope you're wrong about this b/c it would mean that Hunter is still our RT.

The Pats have oline issues, which means trouble for Brady. Brady has thrived all these years with superior protection. They took a step back in that this year, despite the allegedly better defense. I don't think it will balance out. I think the Pats have a down year. 9-7 at best.

9-7 at best? Seriously? They improved their defense and have the easiest schedule in football. Brady also now has Lloyd to throw to as well.

It sucks, but if Brady stays healthy, they win at least 12-13 games.

i think the jets offense will be an enigma. some weeks it will good and some weeks will be dreadful. it will come down to special teams and the defense to give the offense opportunities to score points.

Yes...That would be an instant improvement over what we have.

Our defense has gone from great to greater. We have a new OC who is better, just hang tight and you'll see.

Upgrading RT will solve A LOT of issues.

If we upgrade than I think we will be ok, if the Jets are ignorant of our issues and keep things in tact we are in serious trouble.
