Do you realize how absurd you sound when you say that the guy who put up more passing yards and a higher QB rating against the #1 defense in the NFL last year than any other QB is the same guy who is awful, terrible, will never be a QB in the NFL? Same guy. Yeah, makes you sound very bright.
Wait so you're basing this entirely on a fluke performance against a decimated Steelers team? LOL. The kid has a horrible QBR against the backups, had a horrible QBR last year. He has zero of the necessary skills to throw consistently. He was passed over by 32 GMs to be a starter. He is now a personal protector on the punt team and a 5 play a game gadget player. And after all of this, you believe this guy is going to just turn a switch and become a starting NFL QB? LOL. Truly amazing.
Led his team to the playoffs? Do you mean losing his last three games backing into the playoffs and going 1-4 in his last five games the same record that got Orton benched? See I can play that game to
Look, if you don't have want to have an honest conversation and debate facts, instead of conjecture, just say so. Won't hurt my feelings, you certainly wouldn't be the first Tebow hater to come to a Gun fight armed with a toothpick.
So he didn't lead his team to the playoffs, the media and the Broncos actually lied about that and the Broncos/Steelers game wasn't for real? Dang....
Is a zealot kinda like a fanatic? Never Mind - I found it for you......Dictionary.com 1. a person who shows zeal. 2. an excessively zealous person; fanatic. 3. ( initial capital letter ) a member of a radical, warlike, ardently patriotic group of Jews in Judea, particularly prominent from a.d. 69 to 81, advocating the violent overthrow of Roman rule and vigorously resisting the efforts of the Romans and their supporters to heathenize the Jews.
Yeah, he led his team to an 8-8 record in a shitty division and went 1-4 at the end of the season. So you want to cherry pick the one and ignore the four total offensive meltdowns.
That isn't correct either. He lead them to a 7-4 record as a starter. 8-5 counting the playoffs. 1-2 as a rookie so 9-7 overall. The team was 4-14 otherwise - that's right 4-14.
Over his tenure, he was the 6th worst rated QB in the entire league. He was then dumped for late round picks, and not one team, not one expert (whose job is to evaluate talent) wanted the guy as their starting QB. NOT ONE. These are facts about Tebow the "QB".
How many awful games did the Giants have last year? Before the last few games of the season most people had written them off to even get in to the playoffs. They won the Super Bowl. So now you want to talk about the really bad games they had last year? Same thing.
I love this cherry-picked argument. You realize that in order for him to "back into the playoffs" they had to already have won quite a bit. They were able to make the playoffs because Denver went on a 7-1 streak with him as the starter. Without that, they don't have the opportunity to "back in". Why does it make a difference when the wins came that got them into the playoffs?
is the argument that a QB who loses his last 3 regular season games when the playoffs are on the line should be cut?
Really? are you really asking that? The streak was impressive but freaky and Tebow played a role sometimes big sometimes very little. You guys talk about Tebow willing his team to win and how clutch he is all he needed to do was win to get into the playoffs and he could not do it. They had to rely on other teams to lose make sense now? So is the reality the freaky luck on the win streak or the last five games where he went 1-4? I think Tebow is closer to the losing streak QB watch the you tube video of Tebow vs the Jets the throws were pathetic the runs where great. As I said all along even when he was in college Tebow is a great running back he has great field vision for a runner and can be a great one if so chose. Is Tebow the worst QB in the NFL as a passer Pretty close if he could not run he would not be a QB at any level. Can Tebow throw? of course he can he throws the deep ball better than the Steelers thought. Does that make him a good thrower no. Lets also not forget the steelers where pretty banged up that game so to say they where the number one defense is a bit misleading. I am not a fan of running Qbs in general I think Mike Vick is the most over rated QB in the NFL.
By all means, please go watch the throws in that video and compare them to the passes in the Cincy game this year. tell me if you don't see a huge difference between the two. As for Tebow in college, weren't you the one ignorantly arguing that Tebow was "running QB" in college and couldn't/didn't pass very well ??
I haven't heard a single person who has said Tebow deserved Sanchez's job at this point. Have you? no, you haven't.
Get ready to be amazed cupcake, he not only will be a starter, he is going to be a much, much bigger star than he already is.
This says it all. Tebow plays his game and he does it well, but he is not a starting QB, that has been made plainly obvious this preseason. You've got to be in complete denial to say he looks like a starting QB.
