Heres a guy who reeled in 8 touchdowns and in one or two game he dominated. This makes him think hes valuable and would be picked up by another team. No Takers! Its only natural he attempt to go back with the team he just left because surely they know he is still capable of reeling in 8 to 10 touch downs a year. Problem is He cant be the Devon Bess or the Brandon Marshall of Sporanos Offense.
I think it is safe to say that Plax was the locker room cancer last year and not Holmes. I want no part of him. There is a reason not one of the 32 teams in the NFL want him.
So he's finally given up on the Eagles? This is NOT the kind of personality the Jets need around when trying to develop young WR talent. He couldn't wait to leave the Jets .... until he realized nobody else wants him.
no, the fact that players in he locker room have said it was Holmes makes it safe to say it wasn't. but I would be interested in hearing how you validate the claim that it was Plax without likely having not spent a single second in the locker room.
I don't see why we wouldn't give him minimum to play redzone offense only. He was absolutely a plus player in that area last year. The young guys can still get more than enough playing time to develop.
He obviously played a large part in the negativity in the locker room. Otherwise, he would have already been re-signed. He showed he could still play. Now NONE of the 32 want to sign him for league minimum? They know something we don't.
I still haven't seen a single piece of evidence to back that claim up. I see a lot of people saying it, but no one backing it up with anything. Why not? Didn't Santonio Holmes himself take responsibility for the problems? Haven't we read multiple reports from multiple sources that the problems were between Holmes and Sanchez? Show me some proof that Burress was part of the problem. The Jets didn't re-sign Braylon either. Does that mean he was part of the locker room problems last year?
Wouldn't his salary be guaranteed if he was signed now? Given he has had zero offers, there seems to be little risk in waiting until after week 1 to even consider this; at that point it would truly be without monetary risk. Meanwhile, you actually find out if people like Hill or Gates are any good.
is it your contention that anytime a player is not resigned it is because they are a locker room problem, or just in this incidence? The Jets didn't resign Thomas Jones, and I have never heard a single bad thing about him. was he a locker room cancer too?
He HAD his chance. Was a dog while playing last year. Should have thought about that while sticking up our asses last year. . . . Come mow my grass I'll give up $20, beside that screw you. Hey thats how I feel.
This would be a great move to bring him back at the mim. Show me any other guy that will score 8+ TD for u that cheap? Plus think about this in the red zone we go 3 wide Plax and Hill wide out and Holmes in the slot teams would not know who to double team. Plus u stick Tebow in at QB with those 3 wr that almost 6 points every time.
this isn't a bad thought at all. i'm going to have to assume plax wasn't the locker room cancer people here make him out to be, since i have yet to see a shred of evidence to support that. if that is the case then the jets wont even consider bringing him back.
Pretty sure that's what the Jets are waiting for. MT will go out of his way to save cap money so it makes sense that he would wait until after Week 1 to re-sign Plax.
