Which QB do you see being benched based on a poor start/poor play? I say Fitzpatrick, he is overrated and I think Tavaris Jackson may take over at some point.
Considering that his coach desperately didn't want to pick him (but had to because Kolb was awful too) he is my choice also.
palmer, dude is a pick machine since going to oakland and he was the old coaches pal, not the new ones
Cassel has a pretty good chance if he doesn't produce. The rookies and sophmores (Locker) who are starting for the first time shouldnt be benched. You decided to start them so they can get their lumps now, so you better not bench them. Confidence killer. Skelton is the other one that comes to mind as well. Although Freeman in TB (who now has more weapons than he has ever had) could get benched if he fails to perform. His coach is no longer the guy who drafted him, so he doesn't have that protection any more.
That may be, but they still paid a king's ransom for him (first and second-rounders) and I can't even name his backup. I know Campbell went to Chicago. I'm surprised nobody's said Sanchez  I want to pick Weeden to be different but they clearly want to make it work with him (and Weeden himself doesn't have time to sit on the bench) with how fast they s**t canned McCoy. Smart money's on Skelton since he was the last guy named but it doesn't usually work out that way. I'll just go with Taneyhill, if only cause they've done enough to annoy the vets down in Miami already with their clear heavy-handed and rebuilding moves. If he gets shell-shocked and off to a bad start they may need to throw the team a bone and just go back to Moore.
i just dont see this coaching staff benching sanchez. they have babied him for far too long and i think they will continue to baby him. even if tebone gets half the snaps they will still start sanchez just so they dont have to admit they made a mistake with him.
Jets go 1-4 to start the season (entirely realistic if they lose this week, with what's ahead on the schedule), and the Tebow nonsense is going to reach critical mass.
Skelton. Most of the bad QBs are rookies or second year guys who will get more rope. Skelton is starting over the higher paid player, is terrible, has a bad O-line and has a brutal first 3 weeks (SEA, NE, PHI) could see him being benched for week 4. Sanchez is a possibility only because of Tebow nonsense. I think Locker and Tannehil are safe no matter what as the future of those franchises.
