I don't want to say I told you so...but I told you so: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=2559733&postcount=5
I think you're completely way over analyzing this. All I take out of it is, Bart Scott is pissed and will be bringing it. As an emotional leader of the defense, others will follow. BTW, the best team does not always win a football game.
This has all the makings of the Jets putting up a dominant "shut up haters" game. As Bart would say, CAN'T WAIT.
This team has been belittled and disrespected continuously this offseason. These are men and they have pride. I feel like im about to witness something bad something violent and i like it. The stupid fucking media has stoked this fire and now its going to burn the bills asses. So thanks assholes! There will be a reckoning on Sunday a mother fucking reckoning! :buffaloblows:
I couldn't love the Post more for doing that bullshit...it finally smacked the Jets in the face with the reality that we (the fans) have been living with all offseason, the clown reputation, peons compared to the Giants and unworthy of being in their presence, etc. This might be a WWE smackdown type performance on Sunday. The rest of the media's been garbage too, King Mike didn't even deign to go to Cortland this year (or he wasn't invited), of course he went to Albany first chance he got.
I think they should all come out with their faces painted with clown makeup, but on some evil shit like the Joker or Killer Clowns from Outer Space - now that would be intimidating... Edit: Or maybe they should drive out of the tunnel in a little car and have the entire 53 man roster pop out of it...
So in an effort for Bart Scott to boycott the media, he has to tell the media he's boycotting them. This is like giving up masterbation for Lent.
Some posters here seem to think the players spend a great deal of time thinking about the media. Gee I hope that's not true.
heh - i had the same thought initially, but then reasoned that he probably gave that answer to the first reporter asking him for an interview.
It's definitely true for all teams. No one likes to hear the media bash them. Some players try to avoid listening to ESPN or looking at newspapers but its hard to avoid completely.
