Watching the Jets beat the Marino led Dolphins on MNF from 1985. Great Jets win...and Namath's number being retired at the half. Unfortunately, we're not making any fond memories these days.

Curtis Martin's number retirement was nice. Same with Byrd. Even Dolphins fans clapped at that one.

1985 and 1986 were very good years to be a Jet fan.

Wesley Walker, my favorite all-time Jets, was a huge play maker during those years.

That loss to the Browns (86 playoffs) in OT was a killer, worst loss, IMO as long as I 've been a Jet fan.

At least my Mets won in 86.

I'd say '86 was a great start for you guys at 10-1. Dropping the last 5 must've been hell.....

    A lot of injuries.

Beat KC in the Wild card and lost the worst Game ever to the Browns in Double OT.

Beating The Colts the Patriots The Chargers and The Bengals on the road are my favorite memories, even losing the two afc championship games are good memories atleast we were playing in the game to begin with , Man its sad i feel like we are never gonna make the playoffs again. This orginization needs to become very quite next season no more talking to media about BS, Trade Tebow to get that kind of attention off of us and just not get attention for the wrong reasons. We need to install a new philoshpy behind the scenes. Tebow better not be a Jet next year,Send him to Jaxonville let them deal with the Tebow Bullshit

Weren't you guys up by two scores in the 4th Quarter? Cleveland was pretty damned good in the 80's....

We were up by at least 10.

Mark Gastineau was called for roughing the passer on Kosar, no penalty and the game was over.

1986 was one of the greatest Jet wins, 51-45 over Marino, Wesley Walker had his best day as a Jet.

1998 will always be special to me. My first taste of glory as a young Jets fan. In my heart, I still say we should have and would have won the super bowl that year. FUCK ELWAY!

Thanks for that memory man. As if watching this season wasn't brutal enough.....

Here, lemme return the favor: losing a bazillion Super Bowls in a row!

Just kidding. Frankly, I'd give just about anything for the Jets to make a SB in my lifetime. Of course, winning would be better.... but still.

Yea, I remember that like it was just a couple decades ago... :)

But seriously, this game is what made me hate Mark Gastineau. He pretty much cost us this game if memory serves. He was a great player, but his showboating just gave other teams incentive to play us harder (ahem, Rex, are you listening?) and he has always seemed like a real scumbag of a human being.

LMAO..... Oh boy, we could make this thread one for the ages if we go tit-for-tat with comparing the Bills and Jets histories. I'm talking legendary.......

    I feel your pain......

Hey I saw one of those. Joe Willie was the QB and I had to catch it in re-runs on AFVN since I was half a world away.
