Well, after that performance what do you think the odds are on Tannenbaum, Sanchez, and Rex staying?

For me, Tannenbaum has a 1 percent chance

Rex and Sanchez are both around 60 percent.

I think Rex is higher... he probably gets another year unless the team flat out quits and falls apart the rest of the year.

Don't be surprised if they are all back next year even Tannenbaeum. Rex will def get one more year to get us back and I think he can and will get us back to where we were. Sanchez will be back next year not that i want him to he will be back though.Getting rid of all the talent we had on this team in 2010 is the reason we are where we are

If Tannenbaum is back next year, Woody would be on drugs. Wait until he rewatches the broadcast when the announcers were laughing at the state of things and saying how little talent there is.

You gotta think Tannenbaeum will make some big moves in the offseason and go all out doing every thing possible do get the right players on the field. I don't want him back by any means but My gut tells me he will be, Sparano and REvis n Holmes being out will be our scap goat

My bigger concern at this point is who of our good players will want to be back?

And what coach, GM will want to step into this mess with little talent and no money to address it.

Rex, Tanny, and Sanchez will perform just well enough vs the garbage teams that remain on the schedule to save their sorry asses. 2013 will be the same as 2012 and 2014 we'll see the changing of the guard.

What is the talent the Jets lost from the 2010 team that would be making a difference now?

    Woody - retired
    LT - retired
Edwards - injured and when healthy, a complete non-factor since he left
    Cotchery - ditto
Richardson - retired and 100 years old
    Taylor - retired

    Who are you talking about????

The problem is the lack of talent coming in NOT talent leaving. All that left was a bunch of players at the end of their careers and players who appear to be finished as even situational contributors to an NFL team.

In a way the Jets making it to the afc Championship game twice in 09 and 10 were the worst thing that could have happened to the team. It made management think the team was really better than it was overall, and in 09 the team really was good on defense especially but in 10 the cracks were starting to show but they made it almost there again, they made some foolish extensions and the team continued to get older and slower.

Personally I'm against firing everyone, not because they're doing a good job, but the only way to get good is to have consistancy.

If I'm Woody I bring in everyone, From the non playing portion of the organization.

And I tell them one thing, I want a 3 year plan on how to fix things. If I like what you show me in that plan you get 3 years to make it happen, if I don't lilke what you show me I'm firing everyone and hiring a new team that presents me with the best 4 year plan.

But, if I was Woody and I kept the present team I'd insert a new position between the front office and the coaching staff. I'd strip Tanny of all personel decisions on who to pursue or draft and make him the money man. I'd create a new position called director of personel who works with the coaching staff and scouts to evaluate talent, both in drafts, in trade possibilities and the clubs own personel.

Tanny's job would be negotiating trades, contracts and salary cap issues. His only yay or nay vote on players would be on if the Jets can afford a player or not.

Rex would have input in to the personel process, but not final word, that would belong to the director of personel who does the final evaluation on talent. My vote for director of personel would be someone more like the Tuna or Bilichek.

also ,Kris Jenkins,Dwight Lowery,Brad Smith,James Inhedigbo, we haven't been the same since we lost all these guys, Jason Taylor that year had 5 sacks more then anyone on this roster he also had two safteys. Alot of leadership lost and 3 great WR's. Tanny thought the same way u are thinking and look what happened

SB up here next season means the big 3 are staying. If you wanted me to give percentage or odds, I'd say 100% all three return even if the Jets don't win another game this season.

Hopefully, Sanchez doesn't get his contract extended this offseason.

    Kris Jenkins - retired
Dwight Lowery - should have been kept, but he's JAG
Brad Smith - would love for him to still be here because then Tebow would not
    Ihedigbo - are you joking?

    Three great wide receivers???? Really?
Edwards has 23 receptions for 250 yards in 2011-2 and was cut from a playoff team and could not find a team that wanted him this season. He is crap at this point and the Jets were right to get rid of him

Cotchery has 27 receptions for 360 yards since he left the Jets and has had trouble staying on the field. He is a #4 receiver at this point in his career.

Smith (I assume he is the third "great" receiver you are referencing - has 28 receptions for 300 yards and 29 rushes for 150 yards since he left the Jets. While he is a great role player, his main contribution would have been to keep Tebow far away from this franchise, which would have been great, but he is a role player.

You did not read my post. I said the Jets problem was not bringing in talent, whether through the draft or free agency, not losing old and fading players. I do not support Tannenbaum. The Jets roster is incredibly short on talent because the FO has done a horrible job. But the players who left have not been missed. Period.

Big 3 are Holmes Revis and Mangold...

Sanchez has one more year after this one. We can't get rid of him without taking a big cap hit. Rex will also stay. Next year the SB is in our building I can't see us making major changes in between this year and next. If next season ends badly it could happen. Tannebaum is the one that needs to go.

Woody has had a meeting already, it didn't work.

Woody isn't giving anyone here 3-4 yrs to fix it. This is a today league especially in NY/NJ area.

Clinks and Bradway were effectively the dir of player personnel. They suck at it which combined with Tanny being an awful GM is why we are in this position. Clinks left, Bradway needs to be shown the door and a new group of personnel evaluators hired. That means by default that Tanny also must go because he isn't capable of bringing in the right people to evaluate talent.

Tanny isn't capable of negotiating contracts. He's the one that extended taco bell which is why he'll be here next year. He's the one that guaranteed Pace and Scott so that they're stuck with them this year and weren't able to get better players (not that Tanny or Bradway could evaluate better players anyway). He's the one that signed Santonio to a stupid deal when they don't have a QB or a system that can use his talent.

Rex should have NO say in personnel matters. Rex isn't capable of making decisions on the offensive side of the ball and his love of defensive players hasn't exactly helped this team get after the QB.

    Tanny

Tanny is the one that has conned everyone the most.

If you're not a good GM and want to hide it you cut the number of picks in the draft otherwise you get exposed quickly. If you trade away your picks to move up and it doesn't work (which it hasn't) you can argue that you tried no matter how stupid the deal is. If you sit there and make no moves and have a ton of picks that don't work then its clear you suck at evaluating personnel and need to go.

He has clearly opted to do stupid trades in the name of trying to get better players. Even a blind squirrel could have done a better job of picking players from a list of available players in draft than Tanny has done.

The dumbest guy in the world wouldn't have extended Sanchez like he did or guaranteed contracts to players that should have been shown the door this year (Pace and Scott).

I blame Woody for the Tebow fiasco but in the end Woody has cut the checks to support all the stupid moves Tanny has made.

Woody had no issue dumping Mangini because of the image he brought wasn't going to sell PSL's etc.

Woody knows getting to the superbowl at your home stadium is a huge home run. For that reason he will have no issue dumping Tanny and his crack staff of personnel evaluators.

If woody doesnt' cut Tanny and Bradway then he deserves to lose this franchise.

Lets just get rid of Bart Scott and Mark Sanchez. Everything else would fall into place. Both of those players hamper their respective units by their lack of playmaking skills.
