yea i am not boycotting any games...the author of the article is an idiot. season ticket holders have to pay in advance so the jets already have our $$, so they dont care if we aren't showing up...if i have paid for the games already, i am going
True but they can spin that easily -- given the product on the field we expect there to be some no shows, but the game is sold out, our season ticket base is strong, and we will do better next year - so thanks for the money.
The tickets are worthless for anyone who wants to dump them even if it's other fans. They lowball you at the last minute on stubhub.. so why sell them for 20 dollars and instead go there and enjoy booing the gross product they put on the field. Or at least tailgate the whole game until the 4th qtr and everyone in sync . Throw them bags on and boo like cazy. The average fan will most likely stay out tailgating all game..Since they charge you for that to.
Good fucking lord, the frowning faces are NOT cute. As someone else said, in the grand scheme of things, there are 31 losers every year. However, if progress is made towards a superbowl, there is no reason to slit your wrists. Hell, look at the Cleveland Browns. They still had fans there, even when they're 3-8. Shit...say something positive for once.
Yeah but the browns have a beast RB and a big strong armed QB. Not to mention all the talent that holmgrem has drafted the past 3 years. Other losing teams have young talent to watch every year. What do we have?? Bust at QB Bust at DE (coples) Bust at RB greene( even thow he was a third) Bust at CB wilson Half a bust at WR Hill Busts all over the line including brick lately Spent a 3rd on CRo spent cap money on holmes which is worse then a bust Cap money on sanchez witch is a double banger bust since he is now a draft bust and rewarded a huge contract.
NYJUNC... I just want to see them win a SB before I die. 25 years and counting for me. But 2 AFCCG's hurt more then helped at this point. How many arizona fan's were like "We went to the SB, Things are gonna be great in the future" . And look at them now. There offense is horrid and ther defense is good. But in no way are there fans optimistic about this year or next.
I want a SB too, as much as anyone else wants one but it's not all or nothing for me. Some day when we make it I'll have appreciated the journey, I thought we had it in 2010. I was in Pitt for the title game, I thought we were going to win but it didn't work out. Hopefully some day before I die.
I agree with fans not showing to send a message, but I would at least start it next year, so no one is wasting their money this year, especially the season ticket holders. Which I'm not, mind you. Let's not make it worse for us all again, shall we? And not buying tickets for next season will only hurt Johnson and not the rest of us, too. That's the only message that'll get through to him.
I really think though this is the worst I have ever felt as a jet fan. It's not because the team reminds me of the kotite years and all the losing. But that the fact that the Gints won 2 SB's in this cold process our fanbase is going threw. My brother is a diehard gint fan. And at least after the parcell years in which brought them 2 SB's. I really thought there time was over and our time would come and be much sweeter. Now my brother does not even bother with debating the jets. We are that bad. And to see all of us looking at another change in coach,GM,QB and whatever else.It just kills me.
Who wants to give up potentially hundreds of dollars in expenses just to send a message that Woody is, no doubt, already aware of? I would never do something that stupid, especially since there is no way in hell you could ever get enough people to be that stupid. If you have tickets, go to the game...pretty simple. Fair whether fans aren't really fans, ask me. If you still can't find a way to have fun going to the game, then it's possible that you've invested too much of yourself in how your team performs, which is pretty much beyond your control anyway.
Yea...that's how it works.....You put a shitty product on the field that the hard working fan shells out hundreds or thousands of dollars each to watch you can expect some complaining. I'm not a goddamn sheep that's going to sit there and not complain. Are you satisfied with what your seeing? Were you gleefully eating your turkyskin sandwhich last thursday with a shit eating grin on your face just because you like to watch football. Not me....I was pissed off and embarrased! To each their own I guess but if your Ok with this product and are actually thanking Woody then you need a custom fitted tinfoil hat.
I want to understand your position better. The following teams had never won SB: Arizona Cardinals Atlanta Falcons Buffalo Bills Carolina Panthers Cincinnati Bengals Cleveland Browns Detroit Lions Houston Texans Jacksonville Jaguars Minnesota Vikings Philadelphia Eagles San Diego Chargers Seattle Seahawks Tennessee Titans According to you, fans of those teams must drop their support and immediately stop going to the games. "They are improving" -- again according to you -- is not a good reason to root for them because improvements mean nothing; only CHAMPIONSHIPS matter.
Not being a dick but Dude, I gave you credit in the 2nd post...what more do you want? Don't know who moved it and I didn't have to say shit but I did...
Being optimistic is what fans do, it's a part or being a fan. You evaluate your team as a shitty one, but you hope that your evaluation sucks.
You want to get Woody's attention? Someone needs to get some press and organize a Johnson & Johnson boycott. Not going to a game you paid for is pretty fruitless.
Do you watch football...hockey....basketball. You know the bad teams? Alot of times there are no fans there watching the game....the stadium is literally empty...When the owner sees this he gets mad...grrr....he makes moves so that the team is better...it's called cleaning house.... Are you following me?
