How many of you Sanchez fans really believe he deserves a starting QB job in NFL?

NyJunc and jets4lyah are Sanchez fans but I personally think the nyJunc IS mark Sanchez and Jes4lyah IS Rex Ryan incognito on the site .

    So maybe they don't count

Jets and corrupt jets orgs sabotaged tebow. It was more about politics, big money and rex's ego. They did not want tebow to win cause it would overshadow their franchise player sanchez who they just signed 20 million contract that was endorsed by hc rex. Its just bad karma smacking rex in face. rex has big mouth and so he needs to be right like being right about sanchez until it was too late. The easiest way for rex to be right would be to start tebow or play him a lot in at least ONE game and show how bad he is. But rex did not do that because tebow has been decent qb and 6-8 when allowed to throw pass. And when you have hc crying to reporters because he is afraid to lose his job you know the guy is spineless phony 3 dollar bill weasel for covering for his favorite son. Those anonymous jets players who said tebow was terrible in practice lied because they were loyal to sanchez and resented tebow coming into org and getting all attention. the tebow critics and media ate that up so easily for why rex did not play tebow. woody has to be ashamed of his org and that his hc is blatant liar.

I don't think he deserves a starting job, but I think he deserves a shot to compete for one.

I like Sanchez, but I am a realistic fan and he shouldn't get the starting job. He has to earn his role by competing for it at Training Camp in Cortland

I just have this gut feeling that Sanchez will go to another team and light it up. That would kill me too.

His play has been piss poor, though. I don't think he starts next year barring injury unless he goes to a weak team and steals the job in TC.

For Sanchez to have a chance at starting for the Jets again they will need a proven OC that believes him and can fix him. Other than that he will have to come in off the bench and light it up once the pressure is off.

Either seems pretty unlikely. I think the Jets go after a Vet QB Sanchez will be a backup next year then cut.

To bad because that draft pick miss is a killer to this franchise.

    Come on, people!

It was one bad season. And I don't think that Sanchez suddenly sucking is the actual root cause.

I blame Tim Tebow. I really do.

Tebow is a very charismatic individual who seems to have a lot of promise. He certainly gets an unbelievable amount of press coverage. Only starters get that level of coverage.

So in acquiring Tebow - even though it was now apparently more for media attention than anything else - sent a message to the team and Sanchez that the coaching staff and the front office didn't have Sanchez's back anymore.

It destroyed a lot of Sanchez's ability to lead the team, fellow Jets began to doubt him being the guy to follow. On field performance suffered.

I believe that's what happened in Denver with Kyle Orton. Like Mark Sanchez, prior to Tebow joining the team, Orton had NEVER posted a losing season record as a starter. And when he got away from Tebow, he promptly posted another winning record as a starter in KC.

Tebow is a very subtle, but insidious locker room cancer for any QB ahead of him on the depth chart.

I think that with the impending departure of Tim Tebow, a lot of the locker-room devisiveness will disappear. The team - both players and coaching - can become unified in supporting Sanchez again and MS can return to his previous level of play.

i would think that someone making the money that sanchez makes would be on enough of a pro level that he would be able to play at the level he can regardless of who is on the sidelines. If he is that easily distracted then he should not be a pro athelete

he doesn't deserve a job to be handed to him but he deserves the right to try to win his job back and I believe he will be our starting QB for us next year and w/ an upgrade of talent and good health around him he'll be much better.

So because Sanchez is being paid more money than you can ever dream of making, he has to be flawless? Absolutely perfect or he's no damned good at all?

This is the NFL, there's not much difference between a SB winner and the team with the 1st pick in the draft. It's little things that seperate them.

Not backing the starting QB fully is one of the most common "little thing." And that's what sunk the Jets this year...

If Sanchez can't handle having the three and out King, (aka Mr. Dirtmissile) on the roster behind him... it just further illustrates that he's not your guy.

Most of us in Denver were ALREADY aware Orton was not our guy, and were surprised when the trade fell through.

I'm actually giving Sanchez the benefit of the doubt... at least this year. The Jets had a whole host of problems on offense, and I'm not sure how many QBs in the league could have salvaged something out of it. Especially with the distractions that came with it.

...and besides, you guys are kind of stuck with him for the time being with that huge contract.

Yeah, he doesn't exactly have a good track record when it comes to evaluating QB talent.

Romo is so so. Wouldn't put him in the top ten among starters, MAYBE not even in the top half, but he's by far not the worst.

Choke interception aside these are the facts , Cowboys would have been 4-12 this year without Romo ( quite possibly worse than that) :

Cowboys lost 6 starters on defense

The team won 8 games this year while trailing in ALL of them which is an NFL record ( never been done )

Romo also had the most 4 th quarter comebacks this year ( not luck) , he had 17 TDs 3 ints down the stretch .

Yeah he choked but so did Garett with his horrible gameplan . The defense that got runned over ( are we really talking about the interception if a rookie running back does now plow the defense for 200 yards and 3 scores?) so it's a team choke with the cherry on top beng the catastrophic int .

I'll stick with romo because he is the only QB that's won a playoff game after Aikman, the list of bums Before Romo that Jerry has paraded in front of the fans is astounding .

At least we get into elimination games with Romo.

Please stop, Romo has good backs, Bryant, Austin, Witten, etc... don't compare the 2 healthy rosters. Romo had some of the most talented teams in the league and has ONE playoff win, a HOME wild card win.

I suppose you can take some sort of a moral victory with that...

Still think the cowboys would be better with more than half the starters in the league though.

But stick with him because he's the only one to win a playoff game post-Aikman? Surely there is a guy out there that they can get who can do more.
