I'll pass on tickling... but I can see why an offensive mind like that would intrigue people.

He could do the OC upstairs type of thing with another offensive assistant on the sidelines working with Sanchez (or whoever the QB is) and learning from him.

Of the guys that they are "interested in" I'd take an old Tom Moore over all of em.

Tom Moore was brought in as a consultant specifically to help with the redzone offense in 2011. He left after the 2011 season. These are the Jets redzone efficiency rankings over the past 5 years:

    2008: 17
    2009: 17
    2010: 28
    2011: 2 (I thought it was 1, but the site I found shows 2)
    2012: 25

Do you think Moore had an effect?

You make a good point. Maybe they should have asked him to stay on when they let Shotty go?

tom moore was only here to work on the red zone offense at first. he was brought in to help with the entire offense and sat in the booth at games at the end of the season after schotty kept proving how much he sucked.

Having Shotty as OC required an automatic one point deduction

I just dont see why he would come here... I mean he's got the best scenario he could ever want in Denver. And then you look here and its a mess.

Well it definitely would look awesome on his resume if he turned this offense around. Not to mention, if he goes over to Denver, he's not really going to call those plays. Manning mainly does that. I'm sure he would want to take control of an offense and turn one like the Jets from shit to gold. Could look incredible on his part

I agree...and in a way it may lead him to a team like the jets for that reason..the jets probably aren't a good résumé builder right now...really it comes down (in my mind) to does he want to reunite with Peyton or take on a tall order

i was thinking more along the lines of whether he wants to be around the game again or if he wants to coach. if he just wants to be around then he goes with payton but if he really wants to coach again than the jets would be ideal. a reclamation project that he know and spent some time with

If he wants to be an OC then he will need to coach Peyton or no Peyton...if he wanted to just hang around he'd remain in his current capacity. He is currently around the game and has been.

Out of the OC's that have been mentioned I rather have Tommy Moore.

to fix Sanchez, he needs to be in San Diego or anywhere but with the Jets! He needs to sit a year and get his confidence back. Then he needs to finally learn the fundamentals as in QBing for Dummies 101.

I would have offered Tom Moore the job not yesterday but a week ago

If Denver chooses Wiesenhunt or someone else it will be interesting to. See what Moore does and where he chooses
