He would be the perfect kind of deep threat for the West Coast offense, kind of what we want Stephen Hill to be, but he may be out of our price range. Do you think that kind of a down year will lower his price tag to something we can afford?

32 year old WR's and rebuilding efforts don't go together.

i don't know if we want too. we need to develope hill and have bigger holes to fill with limited space. i'd rather see us get barnes and d.landry rather than waste space on a wr

That 74 catches for 911 yards and 4 TDs was a huge down year. Vet minimum?

If the question begins with "can we afford..." the answer this offseason will always either be "no" or "bad idea".

LOL No. Stephen Hill was able to get downfield and open last year. He just needs practice holding onto the ball when it's being contested and a QB who can actually hit him while he's open.

my understanding is that there are WRs in the 3rd or 4th round that could make a team.

Yes, except for the fact he's not a deep threat. He does have excellent ball skills and body control but the dude runs like a 4.6.

He isn't a deep threat anyway.

He was a sideline possession receiver with nice hands for the Pats who had a tough time with physical man coverage and couldn't get behind any.

If he can't be good with Tom Brady how is he going to be good with Sanchez/Garrard/Doodoo?

Well, he did all right with brady. 74 catches for over 900 yards. Not bad for their 3rd option.

he's just not a guy who's gonna spread the field.

Idzik is way too smart to even consider signing Lloyd.

Don't want him, we should try trading Holmes since rumor is we will release him and get nothing out of his next year. Doubt anyone will trade for him and his contract anyways
