Well, we will only have 3 returning starters on defense if we dump Revis...I wouldn't get all that carried away as we would have probably only one 1 without that 8th ranked defense last year. And it's no better on offense where we have lost the starting FB, RB, TE and probably both guards and the right tackle.

It mainly depends on who's under center though

if we get Sanchez to find his potential we're good, if Kolb comes in and gives us above average play we're good or we find a diamond in the draft at QB(Peter LaLich) who knows

Call me crazy, but I think Sanchez wins the QB battle and comes in and plays out of his mind under Morhinweg's offense.

Until he takes the first big hit of the year and then it will be all over again.

And you know it too. Two years running he's been knocked off his stride by the hits. His first two years he rolled with the punches but the last two they floored him.

    EXACTLY!!!!

As many flaws as Sanchez has, and theres plenty, none is bigger than his complete and utter pussydom. He is by far the biggest pussy in the league.Hit him once, game over.

I don't necessarily think that is true.

Believe me, I was one of the ones backing him before, but I was also one of the ones wanting to slam his head into the ground this past season. From an outside perspective, he was put in a position to fail. His TE was hurt, his main target was hurt, he had young new receivers taking the entire load. Greene was never labeled as a "break out" back, so no team was worried about him breaking one lose. We had no screen game either.

Put him in a short fast throwing offense with healthy weapons like Holmes, Hewerd Bay, Edwards, and a new young hungry TE and I think he could prosper. Add in a couple quick backs like Goodson and McKnight and he could really do well. I haven't counted him out yet. The ice is getting thinner and thinner though.

Ever heard of Blaine Gabbert? Mark has not been the same since that Von Miller late hit, and the Ravens raping. He's taken some brutal hits over his short career

Agreed let him go 10-12 with a TD on his first 2 drives it's like his accuracy goes from shit to good.. let's see what happens...

Last 3 signings I want is DHB and Butler and Pollard!!!

We can always draft another safety I wouldn't mind Landry 2.0 either.

    Get it done idzik

While he has had an injury bug his potential in our D is very high... Nice

At this price, this signing was very nice!

Edit: If he signs at the reported price of 2M/yr . . . which he hasn't yet.

The 8 starters on defense might seem like a huge blow but is it really?

Scott - Demario Davis can do better with his eyes closed
Pace - We just signed his replacement Antwan Barnes, who had the same amount of sacks, as a backup.
Thomas - McIntyre did better at his role, and were being linked to an OLB in the draft anyways.
Pouha - Very injury prone, + old age, + Kenrick Ellis should be able to take his role.
Devito- We drafted his replacement, Quinton Coples, last year and he showed some promise.
Landry - Biggest loss. We have to look for someone to take his spot. I think that Josh Bush should be able to step in at FS but we might need to draft someone.
Bell - I'm looking for a veteran signing soon. He was solid but didn't do anything special, shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement.
Revis - Kyle Wilson did a very good job at the #2 corner role. Yeah he's no Revis but the Jets were still 2nd in pass defense. Don't tell me that it's cus they ran, we were also second in average yards per pass.

On offense replacing the guards will be tough, but if Willie Colon can stay healthy HR should be a good starter. I hope we can bring back Moore, he's still very solid.

yea, thanks for proving my point. He doesnt still have lingering PHYSICAL affects from those hits does he? No. Hes a mental pussy. Remember the flinch when he lined up at WR/?????? You CANNOT have a pussy QB. Its simply impossible to compete with one

    well said.
the only thing i disgree with is moore. if we are bringing someone back i would rather it be slauson. i think ducasse will start and slauson can backup 3 positions on the line. add colon who can kick out to tackle and the line is solid with good depth.

o.t. pumped about the barnes signing. if this is true he will be another solid signing

He's the sunshine boy what did you expect? Everything with Mark was mental. Blaine Gabbert is a pussy physically and mentally though lol...

To be honest, I hope our next QB is gritty and blue collar. A tough SOB, I'm sick of the Jets looking for that next "Namath"

I agree, we have A. Allen, Josh Bush, and how about giving Ricky Sapp some time to perform here. I like the idea of getting these young guys more reps

DHB, Butler and Landry or Pollard would be fine with me.
